Hi, I am looking for a good car window tint shop in Houston, Texas.
Maverick 24 's windshield and 2 front door glasses only. with 3M ceramic.
I recently received a $350 quote. Is that a good deal? I'm not sure. Please, pros, help me.

"Sammy",
You may not want to limit yourself to 3M products.
There are window tint products considered superior to 3M by some, particularly in terms of heat rejection and durability. Llumar and XPEL are often cited as strong alternatives, with LLumar known for its heat rejection and UV protection, and XPEL for its superior self-healing and performance in extreme conditions.
Thank you for letting me know.
Is there a tint shop in the North Houston area that you recommend?

That's pricey, I spent 148.00 for the 2 front windows and sunstrip using Llumar ceramic tint with a lifetime warranty from the shop near me I've been using for years.

148 seems reasonable.

Very loaded question, all depends on area, who’s doing it, sometimes the percentage you get, variety of things. For instance I did my whole truck minus the front windshield with ceramic 5 percent. Rear sliding glass and sunroof. Granted I knew the guy that did mine so that helped but the price would’ve been 350 for that. Lifetime warranty as well. I paid 250 just because I knew him.

I had Llumar film turn purple on a previous vehicle. I'm sure they've improved it, but..., never again. Sticking w/ 3M ceramic.

Well there you go LLUMAR AUTOMOTIVE FILMS are made in the USA.
If you're going to stick with 3m you may want to try
3M Crystalline film is often considered the top performer for heat rejection and clarity, but it's also more expensive. Get outperforms 3M IR ceramic.

On a side note.
If once burned was the rule. I would have never bought another Ford after inheriting my wife's 70 Maverick when we got married😆😆

I've had 4 vehicles with Llumar cermic film never an issue with any that have it. My 2014 equinox is the oldest and the tint still looks and works great since installed in 2014.

In Texas, front door glass tinting is legal as long as the tint allows more than 25% of the visible light to pass through. This means the tint on the front side windows cannot be darker than 25% Visible Light Transmission

And completely and totally illegal where I live in Cali.

The Llumar film I had that turned purple was installed on a vehicle in the mid aughts. I'm sure it's improved by now, but once burned....
