Infotainment issue 2025 Maverick

It's weird, when I leave the side of town I live on, Apple Carplay starts cutting out, and recycling. Sometimes I have the phone plugged into power for charging, sometimes not. I can't tell if it's a cell service thing, cable thing or what. ATT is pretty solid in Las Vegas. When I drove the car from Iowa after purchase, it would occasionally do it then. I've had it at the local Ford dealer, and they cannot duplicate.

The service writer did acknowledge that this is a known issue, but Ford does not have a fix. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

2025 has wireless carplay/AA which uses wifi and not BT. Anything that can disrupt a 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz wifi signal can cause issues with the connection. You can use a USB cable to the front ports for a wired connection instead, it will default to wired simply by plugging in. Use the cable that came with your phone or a known brand like Anker.

I started having similar issues a few weeks ago, before that never a hiccup. Recently my Carplay audio has started getting very choppy at times and looks to be rebooting or just losing connection with the phone. I have noticed in one particular part of my commute right at the end which happens to be near a couple stadiums that it goes wonky 100% of the time now. Once and awhile (like yesterday) I have to reboot my iPhone to get things to settle down. Hard to tell if it is an issue with the truck or if a recent iOS update caused the problems to start.

I read people had issues with CP after IOS 18.5 upgrade. I bought my Lobo 5 weeks ago and my CP has had no issues, I have IOS 18.4.1 . I have not upgraded to to 18.5 because of the issues I read about.

I’m on 18.5. I use wireless CarPlay in my 2025 Lariat. No issues with connectivity.

There is one road intersection in my city where they installed new traffic cameras. After this was done my apple carplay cuts out while in that intersection every single time but comes back immediately after getting away from that light. They must use the same frequency to operate the cameras or something else along those lines.

I like Anker stuff. I got one of their cables, and just run it plugged in. No issues on my road trip to Montana.

I wonder if they are having similar problems with their cameras every time you drive through that intersection .

I bet that their signal is a focused narrow beam one to a controller somewhere so that it doesn't receive interference from low level rf from cars.
