Question about using a Foam Cannon to wash my new Maverick

I just picked up my new Maverick AWD Hybrid on Thursday. It's a bit of a change coming from a Mustang GT but a welcome change so I'm happy. Anyway I have used a foam cannon to wash my Mustang and our other vehicles but never a truck. So to those that use a foam cannon on their Maverick I assume you foam inside the bed of the truck? Currently my truck bed is naked but I do plan to use a bed mat and later on will get it spray lined. Just kind of curious if I should foam inside the bed of the truck and then pressure rinse the foam away like you normally would on the rest of the vehicle? I don't see why not to foam inside the bed but figured I would ask anyway...

I use a foam cannon on all my vehicles, prior to installing retractable tonneau cover on]n my Maverick I foamed the bed and would again if it gets dirty fortunately my bed seals pretty good so it stays dry and dust free

yep, washing the inside of the bed is no difference than the rest of the truck, regardless of "naked", drop in bed liner, spray in bedliner, bed rug, bed mat, etc

Thanks for the reply and to @OleFordGuy as well. May I ask what tonneau you installed? I'm looking into those as well but I really don't want to break the bank

I installed the Retrax Pro Series Retractable Cover a little expensive at $2,500 but a great solution for what I was looking for and I installed it myself I also chose the T-Slot Rail version for future hauling options the cover can hold up to 500 lbs.

The only bad thing about a Tri-fold is there is not much space after folding it up. The bed is shallow so not much would fit under the folded part of a Tri-fold cover. The bed is small so I bought the cheapest roll-up on Amazon. That allows full use of space in the bed. I guess it depends how much you plan on putting in the bed. You would have to remove the cover for bigger taller items.

Personally I don't think there's not a whole lot of reason to get a soft trifold over a soft rollup- a hard trifold is about $60 more than that gator brand and would at least give you some theft protection.

It's a truck, I've never washed inside the bed.an occasional sweep out depending on what I've hauled.

I had an '87 Mustang GT hatchback before the Maverick. 37 years of L.A. freeway stop-&-go traffic wore out my appreciation of manual transmissions as a "purist" . I do miss the power but love getting 43+ MPG (or 50 in that heavy fwy traffic). I'm older now and drive like my avatar anyway. I just bought a 40-gal water heater and the truck brought it home nicely. I did that with the Mustang too! The only constant in life is change. Embrace it and savor la difference...

Curious if you had an ecoboost instead of the hybrid if it would be quicker than your stang.possibly!
