What's the difference between the regular cover and the "low profile" cover?
They look and fit the same on the bed. The "tri-fold" one folds one extra time, vertically to the back window of the truck so you can use the entire bed. The "low profile" one stays strapped down at the front of the bed, so it takes up 1/3 of your bed space.

They are both low profile. But the more expensive flip up cover can flip up and expose all but a few inches of the bed for oversized cargo it will block the rear window in this position. But at least you’re using your entire bed. The other tri-fold cover has an entire leaf blocking part of the bed, so about 1/3 is still covered. Both are good. But since the Maverick bed is so short, I chose the flip up cover just in case I need the entire bed because of a large, tall piece of cargo.

I ended up going for the Worksport AL4, looks like it has a better chance at keeping the water out but it is $$$. I'll post a review in a new thread after I get it.

Thank you. Based on your description, the "low-profile" title is a bit misleading wouldn't you say? Most of us would need as much bed area as possible on the Maverick.

I had it in my shopping cart at reconrecovery for a couple days while I was doing some more review reading. Decided to go for it an hour ago and it gave me an error and said price went up. Hadn't seen this thread, now it's around $150 more than what I just had in my cart. Grrr.
Looks like I got my order in just in time. Prices just went up on the Rough Country website -

I waited and missed the lower price while looking too! The Amazon site shows it still today as available at the $100 lower price BUT tells me it won’t fit a Maverick. Customer service thinks it’s a fluke but advised me not to put the order in today.

It's still listed at $749. Here's the screengrab from Amazon that shows the correct description in the title to find it. It definitely shows that it fits a Ford Maverick. It's sold by Amazon - not a third party seller, and it's $100 cheaper than the Rough Country website. But, the RC website says they will price match, so if you send them an email with the screengrab from Amazon, they should match that price, and you'll be able to buy direct from them.
