Just wanted to share my experience installing the F150LEDs Spartan MKII Hood Mounted LED Kit on my Maverick. Hopefully this helps anyone thinking about doing the same — especially if you’ve got the hybrid. This kit works perfectly for both turbo and hybrid models.
The install video they provide is based on the turbo model, but I can confirm the hybrid install is just as easy. I used the red jump terminal under the hood for power and grounded to a nearby bolt — didn’t even have to mess with the battery. Everything powered up without any issues.
Even if you’re not super into wiring or electrical stuff, the kit is very plug-and-play. It’s designed in a really intuitive way that makes the process smooth.
The wiring harness is impressive — thick, well-protected, and clearly made with quality in mind. All the connectors lock in tightly. One of my favorite parts is the ability to wire the amber DRL backlighting to your daytime running lights through the included harness. It gives a clean amber glow that looks great even when the main lights are off.
The wireless controller is a huge bonus — being able to light up your surroundings with one click from wherever you are is perfect for camping, loading gear, or just extra visibility.
There’s no glare off the hood, and the brackets hold everything securely, even on rough roads. The beam angle is dialed in nicely, and the lights really add a sharp look to the front end.
If you’re thinking about hood-mounted lighting, I’d definitely recommend this kit. It’s simple to install, super functional, and looks great in person.
I’ve included a few basic pics here in the thread, but if you want to see more — including under-hood wiring and some video clips — check out the full album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rSnw34HLQ47nGQax5
