I think I will fill the interior with Great Stuff expanding foam to protect ALL of it from daily use.
I like your idea but I was thinking bubble wrap. One could pop the bubbles when sitting in traffic to relieve stress!

Over the lip of the door pocket like this, (not my design) fits over the lip then 2 screws to the under bottom of the door panel will keep it in place. Unless you are laying on the floor and looking up you would never see the two screws or the screw holes if you decide to remove it at some point. I think the reflector might be a good safety feature for when the door is open.

I'm sorry but what are the white dots on the door trim?
Reference dots for a 3d scanner.

You apply these little stickers all over the area you will be scanning.

That's what I was thinking too. Add in some storage cubbies and it would be perfect. I like the reflector idea and the overall look. I'd buy that for my Maverick but I wouldn't get just a kick plate.

How about that spot where the front seatbelt clips whack the door pillars? That spot is looking rough on my truck. Can't imagine what it'll look like after a few more years.

Yes my Mav is only weeks old and that spot on the pillar where the seatbelt hit has a number of scratches, also that's a tight spot that I rub when getting in or old. Please Make some sort of cover for it! And the kind of square section that meets with a similar design part on the drivers door. Parts are needed for the 2 pillars on each side! Either that or I was going to use sheets of stick on felt in a matching color.

I posted this with pictures on Oct 5 2024 to Maxzina post # 32:

What is needed is a company to make stuff to protect the weakest part of the ford maverick. The plastic inside door sill, the door kick panels, and the pillars where the seatbelt hits when you unbuckle and it retracts. There are lots of interior places that get so scratched and no one is making anything to protect it, leaving a lot of money on the table. Maverick interior plastics need all the help they can get. Thank you.

What happens when the plastic kick panel plastic protector gets scuffed? Do you need a protector protector?
... when it gets scratched up enough you can replace it with a new one, easier than replacing a door card.

If it is felt type material, it may get dirty but not scuffed. Personally I can clean dirt with a wet dry vac and soapy water.
Or
You can probably replace it.

I want some sort of a cover for the door handles, more specifically, the forward area underneath the window controls.

Every now and then I bring my knee resting in it while driving and I know it's only a matter of time before the paint starts wearing off.
Can you provide us with a specific photo of the forward area underneath the window controls?

Anything that prevents scratches to the cheap interior is an auto-buy for me. And this is going to be one of the areas most likely to get hit, kicked, or scuffed.
This is also a product that we have launched based on the wishes of Mav owners and may receive a large demand. :like:
