I put this cover on today and it seems like it will do the job well. Goes over the headrests and has holes for the seatbelts, and zippers to lower the rear seat console.
Also has two pockets on the front-Maybe for treats?
Supposed to be waterproof.
It doesn't protect the back of the front seats but I can live with that.
I don't have a dog yet but will soon 🐶

About $50 on Amazon.

Seems like a great option for those that need to alternate frequently between pets and people, or even carry both simultaneously.

I have this one. It has a hard bottom, so it effectively extends the back seat bottom cushion into a large, flat, slightly tilted platform that spans the footwell area, to the back of the front seats.

I prefer it because I basically have a large back seat trunk to put boxes, bags, or whatever else on. I can easily slide things from one side to the other without scraping the seats up. The sides prevent things from spilling out when I open the doors. And the footwell space becomes a nice little full-width cubby to stow smaller items. It takes 30 seconds to fold 1/3 of it over if I need to haul a passenger, or about 10 minutes to remove it entirely.

Nice! I’m looking for a good one myself. Just rescued a puppy a few weeks ago!

I got the Large, but I also have a Nissan Frontier, not a Maverick. I'm assuming the fitment would be close to the same. The XL is designed for full-size vehicles.

I have two dogs and the same style of back seat cover. I keep mine on all the time as we also have a 10 year old and I use the back seat for a variety of items that I wouldn't want to scratch or otherwise compromise or damage the rear seats.

I got one a week after picking up my Lariat, after 1 quick trip to santa barbara 45 min away with windows open on a gorgeous day and the Lab in the back literally blew lab hair EVERYWHERE and into every seam and crevice.. It was less than $35 on 😖 Amazon....
I spent a good hour+ just cleaning & vacuuming the interior FFS. New rule ... no more fully open window freeway blasts w/the dog in back...

This week I'm watching my niece's Australian Kelpie.
I use this setup in the Maverick.

I have something very similar. I'm concerned over my pooches scratching the daylights out of the cheap recycled plastic door panels... So the Hammock was the way to go. The dogs and the cat sit back there for hours upon hours as we drive Álamos, Sonora, Mexico to Green Valley, Arizona, USA.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering if it would fit a Maverick or not. I think it will be close. I have a couple of similar items that I have used in my RAV4. I am leaving the one I like in it. The other one I got free and it was made to fit the RAV, but it is not great in the Mav, so I wanted something else. I wanted a hard bottom. I am not really concerned about my Golden scratching the door panels, as he hasn't done it in the 2 years I have had him. He stands up and has good vision out the window, so no jumping or climbing is required. I let him have his head out when we pickup food and he greets everyone that comes close. He is a people "person" usually gets a treat or two.

Where did you get that one? I want one that protects as much as the door as possible with all the cheap plastic. I could see my new puppy scratching it up.

It's well over a year old.
I don't recall if it was eBay or Amazon.
The one that I have pictured does not have a hard bottom. If your puppy is going to grow up to be big, you may want to look for one that has a solid bottom.
Of course the pad I've got is a TempurPedic topper that I cut and put in an oversized pillowcase

I'm looking for something like this. I have a booster seat for my 9 year old on one side and would like to have either extender or hammock that will take up the rest of the back for medium sized dog. You mention fold over to haul a passenger - Is it a designed 1/3 fold , or is it a pain in the ass ?

It's designed to fold into thirds for storage. It's not necessarily designed to be used with 1/3 of it folded over (the bottom is actually an off-white color and has the drawer-liner-like grip material so it doesn't slide around on top of the seat). Also keep in mind that the back rest part is one piece, so I end up unbuckling the headrest strap on the third that I want to fold over and basically fold one third of the the bottom and the back of the seat cover over onto the middle third.
