I have yet to dabble in the 3d arena. Looks interesting though and there appear to be a ton of things to print.
Thanks for sharing

Looks like it might be the CAD from the data request from Ford. Get it while it's there, it may not be for long. Wish they had the XLT or something as the Lobo front end is unique and maybe only a 1000 people have one lol.

Awesome! I've grabbed a copy and will print one out soon. The model looks to be very detailed but will need a lot of supports if printed as-is.

Yeah I don't think it's made for printing but rather for designing parts and accessories. Doesn't mean that it can't be adapted though.

When I saw this model, I was excited to print it. I printed the body first just to get an idea of the quality. I am very disappointed. As Kofad said, there are a lot of supports needed. I was going to remove the supports before taking a photo; but I realized the whole model would just fall apart. I printed this on a good printer (Bambu Lab P1S) and with good filament (Bambu Lab PLA Basic). This is just a bad, unusable model for 3D printing. Maybe Kofad will determine I did something wrong in my effort.

Looks like the 3d model is fine but your slicer choked on it

I'll check it out when I get home

Slicer is Bambu Studio on P1S. I hope someone with better skills can get it to work. As TwuckHappens replied, I don't think this model is for 3D printing. I don't think there is enough detail in the model.

Yeah the STL looks fine but there are voids in it and it won't slice properly. If you check the preview before printing, it looks the same way that yours came out.

You should make it a habit of previewing whatever you just sliced before printing it, saves a lot of waste

Thanks for the confirmation and the advice. I did see that the preview looked like crap. I printed the body anyway so others wouldn't waste the time if it turned out like I was seeeing.

I tried running the body model through auto fix in meshmixer, it got a little bit better but isn't 100%. Unfortunately I'm out of time to mess around with it 😕

I think a resin print at Matchbox scale would yield a nice result. Not even gonna waste filament on an FDM print.

That's what I was thinking after I saw that post. No way it is just a scan from a consumer device.

Plus you could hopefully use the windshield from the Matchbox and Hotwheels cars.

Ouch. I'm guessing the problem is wall thickness. If I get time I may have to mess around with it and try it in resin. What scale were you trying to print at?
