My 2019 F150 Lariat had the deep sleep issue with the battery management system. Used a battery maintainer on that one.
Hasn't happened to the 2024 Maverick Lariat I now have, but has been widely reported.

My local dealer, who some of my really good friends work at, have had the following: 2014 3.5 F150 with 525,000 miles. Still runs like new and has had minimal stuff done.

Their service vehicle, a Hybrid Escape is almost at 400k, and nothing big at all besides normal maintenance.

All vehicles are going to have issues. Ford gets a bad rap because of all the recalls, and they’ve been sort of lackluster in fit and finish. However, I’ve had many Toyota, and they’ve all had problems. My last Gen 3 Tacoma, a 2022 had the entire steering rack go bad at 17,000 miles. Some random electrical stuff. My two previous Gen3’s had the same, but had some trans issues. Our LC200 wasn’t perfect either, but was the most reliable. However, parts cost a fortune for that truck.

The thing with Toyota owners is, they will never admit to their vehicles having problems. They bought into the hype that they are absolutely perfect, when they aren’t. I’m not a fanboy, so I always let people know honestly that I had issues with my Toyotas. The new stuff has problems, also. From the Tundra engine ordeal, to the new Tacoma having engine and transmission problems.

Ford has always been good to me, but I go in knowing it might have some problems at some point. Just the nature of vehicle ownership anymore. I currently own a Bronco full size, a F150, and my Maverick Hybrid. I just drive them and enjoy them.

My brother swears by toyota vehicles. His ancient small taco truck - minimal trouble. His prius was trouble-free until it was totaled. His Avalon has had dash rattles, frequent CELs and numerous repeat trips to the dealer to fix electrical, tech/infotainment issues and other misc. problem$.

Owning a vehicle is a crap shoot, regardless of brand.

Rare is the day that someone starts a thread stating that they didn't have any issues today with their Maverick. We had a thread a while back, but otherwise a lot of people get a dopamine hit from seeing other people bitch.

my dad's '23 Tremor 3.5 had deep sleep also, as he sometimes takes long trips and other times goes a week without driving that vehicle. on his own he found out about Forscan and changed the SOC target to 100% which he said fixed it. I was pretty impressed, lol.

Toyota replaced the frame of my 2009 Tacoma in 2017. My dealer told me they do 5 a week. Think about it, they had to lift the body, remove the engine, trans, all wheels and gas tank. Then slide out the bad frame, slide in the new frame and put every thing back together. It did not cost me anything. Go to YouTube and search "Toyota Frame Replacement" and you can watch the process.
Most of the Ford issues seem to be software related, just like Microsoft Windows issues. Our trucks are computers on wheels. Progress?

I would naturally expect more problems from a line that was created in 2022 vs the F-150 which has had a long run time.

2025 Maverick was the first refresh (without adding too much new to beta) and those owners will know far less battery and axel issues thanks to the 22-24 owners that beta tested the car.

The Maverick being a new model in 2022. Is having what we call teething pains.
I would expect less problems from the F-150 line due to the fact that the F-150 is rather long in the tooth.
