Is the *bleeping* gas "gauge" on the 2025. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a 9 segment ugly "gauge" taking up all that vertical space needs to be taken out back and taught a lesson. In my 50 years of driving I've never seen a more stupid "gauge" in my life. Same pretty much goes for the temperature gauge but I don't look at that one as much.

This even beats out the off-centered rear license plate (which 3 people have already commented to me on).

What's your biggest complaint?

The glacially slow seatbelt retraction and the super sensitive kick off for turn signals, I hit the turn signal and then if you gently blow on the steering wheel it clicks off.
Both of those are Ford things and both have driven me nuts for years.

I'm used to low-content vehicles, but what bugs me are the lack of an under-hood light and especially the lack of a light in the glovebox. How cheap can you get?

Another reason why I went with the 24 Lariat.

Ok here’s my list:

1) the horrible 9 slot gas gauge, like the OP already said

2) plastic scratches if you look at it too hard

3) the new 2025 electric driving mode status is difficult to figure out. I understand how to get all the info if needed, BUT it should just be a simple bar like the previous versions.

4) the AC system lacks dials. So you have to treat it like your home AC and adjust it by desired temp, rather than just adjusting the hot/cold air blower. Plus the AC just randomly decides to turn on and off—even when you have auto disabled.

That being said, it’s still my favorite automobile I’ve owned.

The location of the reverse sensor display (circled in red) perfectly blocks your view of approaching cars when backing into the street from angled parking. Why didn't they place it on the other side of the screen?

Won’t hold pre set start up profiles.
I’d set as my run default,
No Auto Start/Stop EVER !
A 5 second self canceling seat belt bell then Nothing ?
If someone’s too stupid to belt in,
Well then,
The Gene pool needs a little cleaning up now and then right !

Then there’s the 137 things I really like about my 2024 EcoBoost.

The plastics. Yeah, I know, shocker. Not only does it scratch easily, it rattles when it wants to. It's temperature sensitive. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It'll come from the dash, a-pillar, b-pillar or even the c-pillar. That latter is rare but the first two are constant.

Yes, I'm aware that it was originally intended to be built on the cheap end with that fantastic $19,999 starting price before taxes factored in. Still, is that a legitimate enough excuse to use the cheapest plastics in the world? I don't think so. When you're pushing over $40K for a Maverick nowadays, it better have some soft-touch plastics or, at least, the injection molding one that's soft to the touch.
