This post is for XL owners who did not realize Ford only includes power mirrors with CP360 full option, and not in the CP360 Assist included in the base model. Considering how standard this is on new vehicles, it seems a bit of a double-cross when Cruise, and free Sirius are included. So the query here to the crowd is who knows of an Aftermarket option coming out, at least for the passenger side? Searching the web I see plenty for other Ford vehicles, and running a bit of wire can't be that bad, so hoping one of the Aftermarket shops has one in the works. Beta please!

double cross

transitive verb
To betray or swindle (a colleague); to promise (a collaborator) one thing and to treacherously do another, to the detriment of the collaborator.

Yeah, this ain't that. The included equipment is clearly stated for all trim lines and readily available online and in the showroom.

That said, a manual mirror is one less electric thing to fail. That can be a blessing, especially if you've ever experienced an electric thing failing.

Wouldn't you also need something like this, in order to control the mirror??

Yes, thanks for the photo so I know how it would fit in

Yes, thanks for the picture which shows that it would probably be too hard to install there. I would expect the aftermarket to supply something that hangs off the dashboard below the radio.

No problem Mark.
Pictures are worth a thousand words. Again good luck in your endeavors.
Take care,

The 360 Assist is not included in the base model of any trim except Lariat. Unless they changed it for MY '25, the power mirrors are part of the basic Co-Pilot 360. A good value that includes Blind Spot Information System, Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping Aid/Alert, "full size" spare, and power mirrors. It's cost would probably be returned in lower insurance premiums over time. A good value for it's price and really makes the basic XL feel like a great modern vehicle. The Co-Pilot Assist is the upper safety tier (full option) with the rest of the bells and whistles including Adaptive CC Cruise Control. Sorry you missed this great deal.
Edit: In regards to your question, maybe something from salvage would be possible. I don't think any aftermarket demand would be enough to justify a custom Maverick only power mirror. I don't know if a generic is available to fit it either.

That's a shame your order didn't include the features you wanted.

I wouldn't expect an aftermarket kit to be made-- It would be a huge investment to sell just a handful of units.

You could buy the OEM power mirror parts and install them yourself, but wiring it would be tedious.

I did this on another, older vehicle, NOT a Mav. As was suggested and if I were doing it on the Mav, I would find a wrecked Mav and pull the parts needed including the switch on the armrest and probably the armrest itself that includes the switch and wiring plug.

You will need to purchase stranded wire in the right guage and in multiple colors and make your own wiring harness as it were. They sell wire online for automotive use. You will need to sort the wires, meaning find the ones that power the mirror and not illuminate the blind spot monitor light.

To figure out the correct wiring from the switch to the mirror motor, you can use a 9 volt battery to power the motor and do it at a workbench before installation and figure out the wiring so when you press the switch to move the mirror up, the correct wire is energized to the motor in the mirror.

You will need to run wires under the dash to the passenger side, then through the rubber boot in the door that houses the wiring. I used a coat hanger to get the wiring through. Of course, you will need to remove the door panel on both doors but you already knew that.

Since electric everything and anything goes through the Body Control Module, you can get power from another source. Perhaps tap into the courtesy lights in the footwell?

Remember, I did NOT do this on a Mav, so the above is a general way to approach this.

Probably the most informative and non-condescending post I've seen yet on MTC! Has this been optional since the beginning of Maverick?

I thought my post was pretty good.
I didn't think it was condescending.

Mark - RE: has this been optional since the beginning... = My recollection is on the XL, yes, electric power mirrors were not standard on the early XL. They were bundled with the cruise control option.

There were many posts regarding adding aftermarket cruise but I don't recall reading any related to adding electric mirrors. One had to buy an XLT or Lariat to get electric power mirrors standard.
