Generally, trucks are pulling a premium price at the moment. The Maverick's "premium price" is going to rely heavily on whether the demand remains strong after hybrid Mavericks hit the road in earnest and reviews start rolling-in. IFF demand remains high, the hybrid Maverick's value could out pace other trucks, given Fords ability/willingness to build hybrids compared with demand.

Boring answer, but ~shrugz~ oh well.

When I went in to change the color of my mav order in Ohio, the dealer had an eco boost on the lot and my sales guy said it had a $5k markup and this was before any news of being near /sold out

From other threads, it sounds like people are already going wild for it when they see it. And if gas prices keep creeping…

A co worker of mine ordered a 21 corvette took delivery, owned it for three weeks and 3000 miles after driving it from Georgia and sold it to another dealer for 35000 profit. I plan on keeping mine when ever I get it but It would be hard to walk away from a profit. It’s funny everything my co worker touches turns to gold. I was joking with him and said I need some luck, so he patted me on the head and the next day I shot a 76 playing golf.

Where is this Mystical Unicorn Dealer that sells new vehicles off the lot at MSRP with no exorbitant dealer fees or add-ons?

My dealer is selling all Maverick orders at MSRP

So you are not making the $5000 off selling your new Maverick Hybrid but letting the receiving dealer make the additional profit.

I made my order weeks ago. My co worker made his order for a corvette over a year ago and has an order for a 23. My fears is dealers are going to come back with tons of paper work fees for custom orders.

I wonder if in reality a dealer can laugh at you and tell you to kindly leave if you’re not buying the truck you ordered and trying to choose your “heir” to the reservation, unless they are cool and are sticking to msrp for dealer stock anyway then it wouldn’t matter.
If that is the case I would just buy it, pay the tax and sell it again if I could not afford the monthly payments. Or maybe keep it as a second truck for better mpg. Better that then the dealer getting $10k ADM for free.

What vehicle did you go with?
I ended up selling my Jeep for a ridiculous amount of money and needed a vehicle with 4 wheel drive. By the time you build a Mav with 4wd, fx4 and tow, the bargain is no longer as big, so I bought a Tacoma at msrp.

I will let you guys know what happens..I am going to take delivery of my hybrid maverick XLT and sell it..yes I have to pay sales tax and all that but if I can make 1500 or 2000 bucks why not? I don't really need the vehicle anymore. Tht being said , with gas prices and the demand for the little truck I am not just gonna let the dealer keep it. I'll pay cash for it and then flip it. I'll prob ask 5k over MSRP. That will net me 2000 or so after the dust settles.

The sold out only applies to the Hybrid so if you want an EcoBoost go for it
