Got mine off of ebay.... couldnt wait to get to Target..
Folks have found them at Walmart as well.

I bought two of the Dark Blue "HW Hot Trucks, series" (one became a copy of mine, Blu).

I guess this has nothing to do with anything, but this thread reminded me of the old R5 Turbo from the late 1970s. I had a Renault 5 (Le Car) in college. Like the cheapest econobox on wheels. I used to patch the muffler with soup cans. I loved that little POS.

But Renault, in a moment of sheer insanity, stuffed a turbocharged engine in the rear and had this absolutely crazy ride. Still a bit of a fringe cult car to this day - they just released a new one in homage.

The Maverick feels the same to me. Cheap econobox. No sane person would turn a lowly Maverick into a ludicrously overpowered, poorly handling, socially irresponsible monster car. Or would they?

In that case, why not go the 3E route and stuff a Eluminator Mach-E electric crate motor in it? With a dual motor setup it should be good for around 562 whp / 634 lb.-ft of torque.

Looks great, but who's going to pay $60,000 for a mini sport truck with no power passenger seat? Oh wait I forgot where I was at. 🤣🤣🤣😉

I just wonder if the frame would twist itself into a pretzel the first time somebody floored it? Maybe not, since the Maverick is made for towing? I mean, it can handle 250 HP with ease. I have a funny feeling there is more factory goodness coming for the Maverick down the road. I can always hope.

Because that is what is essential for performance.
