Irrelevant if the car can't see the trailer behind the truck. In the dark, it would be really easy to miss without trailer lights, which is why they are required.

This post wasn't intended for a legal course on trailer lights. Call your lawyer he will tell you vehicle owner may get a ticket for defective equipment, driver that crashed was following too close and may get a ticket or not.
Lights were operational at 1/2 hour after sunset as required, so exaggerating is just wasting time .
This took place in upstate NY, so CT law is not applicable. But thank you for informing me on CT laws.

Don't forget, a tap of the brake pedal shuts the system off. So all your panic about the bad things that can happen if you continue down the road with a blown tire with cruise and LC on is unwarranted. Unless your from the generation that can't figure out what to do if the throttle sticks.

NY has the same laws. It sounds like you just don't care though.

Red Tail Lamps 2 Rear - One each side, at the same height (not less than 15” nor more than 72”), and as far apart as practicable. Red Stop Lamps 2 Rear - Same as tail lamp above. White Number Plate Lamp 1 Rear - Located to illuminate registration number plate from top or side.

Mine did, but it is a trimmed down version, only about 160 pages, so it may not get into the details of Lane centering as it relates to trailer towing.
I know Blue Cruise on my Lightning will not work when a trailer is connected, so I suspect the line of logic is consistent across models

Maybe you should inquire from Ford, why Lane centering is disabled (as the manual states) when towing a trailer.
I'm thinking one of the reasons is.
If the trailer starts to sway or has a tire blow out they feel that you, the actual driver with hands on the wheel, can correct it better without the lane centering system activated.

The dealer couldn't fix what isn't broken.

Ford Maverick 2025 owners manuals are downloaded into the trucks infotainment system you can access them through the screen in the truck or download them to the electronic device of your choosing PC, tablet, laptop or phone.

your dealership should have read the manual and then just sent you on your way.

the truck is functioning as designed. It isn't something that needs fixed.

Yes you are right it did come with a very basic 1/4" thick manual that doesn't cover much and not the 1" plus thick book that came with my 23.
And my 23 Maverick had lane centering with trailer attached, so why can't the more expensive 25 have it?
Basically I was hoping for info on how to make it work, which I see won't happen. Times have changed. I will do it myself.

I haven't fully explored Forscan as it relates to the Maverick. It's possible that there is something that can be tweaked in Forscan to allow it to operate with a Trailer attached.

Oh, I read your post. Did you read your owner's manual?

If you read and understood the post you shouldn't have commented as you did. Again dealer didn't record that is was working as designed, just the opposite.

The abridged owners manual now supplied, does not include that information.
