Im a bit of a perfectionist but have learned to chill on the small stuff…
Just IMO - this is really small stuff.
I get why your bothered but it happens to everyone 🤷‍♀️
looks to me a bit of light compound may just take care of it ☺👍
Might be the route I'm going. The dent is crazy minor. It's the discoloration that brings my eyes to it.

Yes - your eyes are drawn to it cause you know it’s there…
my guess is most ppl don't even see it.
my first scratch was on the tailgate; didn’t bother me for too long… it’s a truck - trucks get jacked up over time. 🤷‍♀️

Enjoy your vehicle; dings and such are a rite of passage 😉

Take it to a dent wizard. Cost about $150 max. He'll get the dent out without doing body work.

Exactly.
The first time is always traumatic.
Imagine if you will, driving the third day after delivery and doing $10,000 damage to your Maverick. No ETA on parts since 2/10. I'm certainly traumatized and depressed. The check hadn't even cleared the bank yet.

What happened?
I hope that much damage wasn't done by a rooster or chicken?

I keep my Maverick in the garage. The only time it's outside is running errands and when I'm working in the garage. It's such a sad thing to find a ding in my 2 month old and no one to take responsibility for it. The altruist in me is gutted.

But thus is life ...

So how do I fix it?

It's a VERY small ding that would probably be impossible to see given its location, but there's a discoloration that SEEMS to be additive and not bare metal or anything like that. I rubbed it a bit and it didn't come off, but I'm sure there's a proper method that I don't know about. Never really cared about my vehicle this much to learn.

Also, what's the best way to get touchup paint? The dealer?

EDIT: Picture incoming. Couldn't get one because it was dark.

I have heard that there are guys that remove dings, and dents that come to your driveway, and the results are perfect, with no paint needed. Thats what I would try first.

Reading these in sequence was briefly alarming.

"They're that bad???"

I guess that would make them the chiropractors of automotive repair . . .

It was a Chrysler. $10k repair with parts not available. Been sitting in body shop nearly two months. So depressing.

This damage is far beyond paintless dent repair. 😪

Paintless dent repair fixed my Nissan Versa like new for only $300. I got top dollar trade-in at the FORD dealer on 2/7/25. Ricky's Dent Shop in E-town, KY is my go to.
