CV Axles Issues - Bad Quality - Complain on NHTSA

I have a 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid and have seen two sets of terrible axles. In doing some searching on the internet, it seems to be a known problem and have yet to see a recall from Ford. Here are my CV axle issues. On May 20th, 2024 @ 39K miles both front axles were replaced to address wobbling. Less than a year later, on March 3rd, 2025 @ 59K miles, both front axles had to be replaced for the same issue. The obvious - poor quality parts. With the amount money Ford has spent to replace these cheap quality parts and cover-up, it is time they fess up to the problem and put a recall or extended warranty on these poor-quality parts. Remember, these parts only have a 5 year/60K miles factory warranty.

And when they do this replacement under warranty, they make you the consumer pay for the wheel alignment for their problem. Very gracious Ford!!!

Also, convey your displeasure to the CEO of Ford. Customer Service will do nothing.... tried them and nothing happened.

Hello, have 40,000 on my 2023 XLT and had both of my front axles already replaced at about 38,000. I believe hearing all the issues something should be done about it.

I had mine replaced at 24k km. During acceleration, the truck vibrated like it was about to fly apart. Just after 100k k,m they are acting up again. The dealer said the vibration is when it goes from electric to gas. Ugh. 5k later, the vibration is so bad it cannot be the engine kicking in.

Hello, mine did the same thing. Upon acceleration about 40 mph it would vibrate like crazy like the front tires were falling off. They replaced both axles and so far no issues. Mine is just the gas motor so not sure ?Best of luck

Just this past week, had my CV axles replaced on my 2023 XLT after steering wheel shake. Service advisor guessed that there would be a recall soon. He said he replaced them in five Mavericks recently, all with under 30,000 miles. We will see how long the new ones last.

Given that that the CV axles have NOT yet been redesigned, I am anticipating another replacement job, perhaps around 30,000. Service advisor said that power train warranty covers it and my extended 100,000 mile warranty will also cover it. I asked what I would pay out of pocket without a warranty, he guessed around $1,600.

Runs great for now!

Hello, have a 2023 XLT and had both of my CV Axles replaced at 40,000 miles. It was covered under my extended warranty thank goodness. I hope they don't have to be replaced again. Best of luck to all of you and hope it doesn't happen.

I thought they upgraded the axles.

Has anyone (not lifted or otherwise modified) had to replace the Tremor axles? Wonder if they'd fit in a regular Maverick?
