You say you drove both Vegas. Did they both make to the end of the driveway. I know they weren't as bad as people say but I did have a friend who had one and the temp light came on. They should have called it the KaPut light.
I had a friend whose Vega's frame broke in the driveway. This was not a northern road-salted car. 70s American cars were an embarassment.

Okay Vega guys, do you remember the Baldwin/Motion Phase III Vega that had a 454 V8 in it. I think they were twin turbochargd. I remember reading in a Hot Rod mag that you didn't actually drive it, you aimed it. 😆
With the turbo charger in my GT Vega it was a terrible handling car. I almost lost control of it when I was street racing it (I know stupid kid)! On the slightest turn of the steering wheel while accelerating you can be a goner.

Not sure why Ford had to recycle an old model name in the first place. Never did anything for me, anyway.

The F100 had already been used. The Ranger could have been through F50 and the Maverick the F25. Or, it could be that all the "Ford Better Ideas" have been used up and there are no new ones. LOL

I agree. Also, why use Mustang for that electric thing (not a car and not an SUV).

Remember, in the 1970's, Ford used both Ranger and Explorer for trim lines on F-Series trucks...my Dad's 1975 F250 was a Ranger trim.

I had a ‘77 F-250 Custom that I special ordered, 351-4 speed. Miss that truck!

Dad's '75 had a 360 V8, C6 trans, NP203 full time 4WD transfer case and front end that locked in all the time. The famous Hi-Boy.

I learned to drive in a 4 door 1972 Maverick with a vinyl hard-top. 2025 XLT Hybrid in Eruption Green ordered… full circle.
