I took delivery of a 2025 Maverick XL this month. I've really enjoyed it so far. Noticed something strange when driving at night. A blue and yellow light in the mirror. I discovered it comes from a reflection of the airbag warning light through the back window. It's distracting when driving at night. Has anyone else noticed that?

I don't really know that I really need to see the passenger airbag warning (I don't have small kids at home anymore). So for now I put a piece of velcro over it, maybe I can find something to velcro to it.

Has anyone else found a workaround?

I have not noticed this phenomena on my 2025 Lariat but I’ll pay more attention the next time I drive it at night

I see the same thing on my '25 XLT. I usually have about 2 seconds where I think "what the...?" And then remember it's that light!

I haven't covered mine up yet...

The 22 - 24 models have the light over to the right. Not a problem.

More annoying to me would be that glaring screen (auto-night-mode is much easier on the eyes). That, and the off-center VOL knob, with no Tuning knob on the righthand side to balance the look. And all the mishmash of unrelated buttons to the right of the VOL knob. What a visual mess.

I have the screen set to dark mode, and Google maps in dark mode so it isn’t as annoying as the photo makes it look.

I bought an XLT 6 days ago. Took me two days to figure out what the heck that yellow thing showing up in the mirror is. I tried adjusting my seating position up and down a bit and it made no difference.
I'm thinking I'll get some of the sticker/tape material designed to dim bright LEDs to retain the functionality of the indicator.

Personally, I'm not sure I would have a good use for anything velcro'ed there. My only thought would be maybe some thin patches. It's not a big enough space for much and it isn't a spot I'd want like a cord to charge my phone held in place.

it is very odd to me both the selection and order of those buttons. The one all the way on the right is for the brake hold. It makes no sense to put that over by the passenger. The previous/next track buttons would have made more on that side, driver has steering wheel mounted controls for it.
