Hello everyone. Just became the owner of a 2024 Maverick Lariat with 9000 miles on it. In the past we have had big Ford and Dodge pickups but no longer have the urge to drag a five ton trailer around so we downsized. In addition we wanted a vehicle with driver assist capabilities. Our other ride, a 2012 Highlander, doesn’t have those options.
so far I’m really impressed with the Lariat. The 2.0 liter Ecoboost really scoots. Amazing the improvements that have been made since my 1956 Ford with three on the tree and 272 cubic inches.
Another great asset of the Mav is size. Recently we downsized house wise and a full-sized truck or even a lot of newer mid-sized trucks won’t fit in our garage. The Lariat allows me to get around the front in the garage without turning sideways.

Welcome to the space! I just got my '24 Lariat for the same reason; no more 5th wheel and no need for a big truck. Enjoy your Mav!

Glad you like your truck!

The somewhat relatively smaller size of the Maverick is one of the main reasons I bought it. I waited years for vehicle companies to start making a truck of reasonable size again that would fit in my garage without a shoehorn. It's also hella easier to parallel park than all those gas hogs the dealers try to talk you into buying.

Welcome to MTC! Good place here with lots of expertise and some good folks. I’m your neighbor 35 miles west in Fruitland. I do have Forscan if you ever need help with that , or I can make adjustments for you. Have a great day!

Your post sounds familiar, I'm new here as well. I did the same as you, I traded my F150 Lariat supercrew with all the goodies for a 2024 Maverick Lariat AWD 2.0 Ecoboost, so far, I love it! I loved my full-size Truck, but my wife is recovering from cancer and so weak, she had a hard time pulling herself up to get in, plus I can now get it into the garage, close the door and still have room to do things to it. We are seniors, retired and don't pull a travel trailer or any towing, but we both love a truck.

Thanks for the offer. You outrank me. Only made it to SFC back in the day when we had steel pots!

Yeah, could shave out of the steel pot or just boil the water. Cigarettes in the "C" rats! I didn't smoke, but would trade them for the beans and weenies or the pot roast and spuds. Those guys that smoked would make the trade every time.

A tip: Never toss an unopened can of c ration peanut butter into a campfire. No way you can get it off bare skin before it leaves a mark. I really didn’t mind Cs although pound cake would suck all the moisture out of you body on a hot day in the desert.

Roger that on the cake. In basic training (1973, Ft. Polk) the C's were dated 1952, basically Korea era. Everything was pretty much fine, except those crackers! They literally vaporized to dust when you opened. My wife gets excited about the "expiration" date or "best used by" dates. Haha Those canned goods will stay good for a very long time unless can is damaged or comprimised. Heading over to BoisAngeles for Dr. appointment, very foggy here. Taking wife's 4Runner, has fog lights. You know, the fog lights we can't get (factory) on a Maverick for some strange reason. Should be an option at least.

Got to keep the ticker in good shape as the Maverick is fun enough to raise your beats... :)

Nice Maverick.... best color in my opinion (i like my Hot Pepper Red, but that Azure Grey is beautiful and I would have ordered it had I seen it in person before ordering my Maverick.)

Good looking Mav. Glad to hear you are keeping your ticker ticking!

As a former native Iowan, perhaps you should know that we really appreciate your heading. We often do not care to get compared to Idahoans!;):sneaky: And NO, Iowa is NOT the Potato🥔 state!!!! I want to "mash" that half-"baked" idea right now!!!!

Stay safe and follow the doc's orders! I have done about 7 mods / additions to my Maverick. Send me a DM (direct message) sometime if you like and I can discuss the things I've done to mine. Got a pretty good list of where to buy stuff. Have a great evening!
