they only made 1,015 rangers last month? that's pretty crazy, MAP must have been partially idled.

No wonder the resale on my 23XL keeps getting destroyed 😅
Yeah... I knew this was going to eventually be the case when I paid $1K over MSRP but it was either get what I wanted, spend more than that to repair my 10 year old with 213K miles (first repair other than minor things like bulbs, battery), or get a place holder for a year or two until this happened. Made me sick to overpay, but I've been pretty happy the 15-16 months I've had it.

there's a boatload of people who paid $5k-10k+ markups on a hybrid in 22 through 1Q - 2Q 23.

they never talk about it of course. hope they saved a whole lot on gas, lol.

I'm trying and failing to remember what rules traditional OEMs use for "sold". I know Tesla records sales when the car is delivered. But I think OEMs mark it as sold when it is invoiced to the dealership???

Also, I am wondering if Ford ever got around to implementing that "regional holding lot" plan they were selling to the media? That they will establish regional inventory lots, and financially encourage dealerships to grab what's on the regional lot. Instead of having dealers hold a lot of inventory on the dealership lot.

I'm going to assume production is still slow on the 2025s because of the changeover. They're probably not running the line at max speed yet, hoping to catch any issues that might still be happening. They just started making the 2025s in what, November? And it's a pretty significant refresh, adding the AWD to the hybrids, the new dash and infotainment, etc.

Oh yeah I know....and had I not found what I had I would have been in a place holder. 🙂

I'm averaging $100 a month in fuel at ~23mpg average. Assuming the hybrid does twice as much mileage, it would take 8.3 years for $5,000 marked-up hybrid to break even with my AWD 4K EB.

quite the opposite. 15,825 Mavericks built in January is one of the highest ever recorded. for many months they had been building more like 10,000. (edit: it actually might be the highest ever.)

They built 12,000 last year, and 8,700 this year. That's the difference I'm talking about.
