How legit would Mexico change if we did tariffs on them? Like collapsing overnight or something? I’m not sure how important we are to them.
They get paid like 8 dollars a day at ford right? Doesn’t seem like much

I wonder how Ford is able to pay them so little? The minimum wage in the northern border free trade zone is $20.57 per day and the average wage of Mx auto workers in 2024 was $3.70/hr.

Would their economy collapse overnight? No. It takes about 2 years from the start date of a catastrophic event until the effects are felt throughout the economy. But, if fully implemented, these tariffs would likely cause 10%+ contraction of the Mx economy, which would be worse than the 2008 recession.

i beleive there will be some bending both ways but our issues are more than just cars with Mexico and Canada . Leave it at that . It needs to be addressed , it was not. Previously
