This is the first vehicle that I have ever put a catch can on. I checked it back in October and it had maybe a half teaspoon of oil/fluid in it. I didn't do anything with it. After all of the really cold weather that we have had this winter, I decided to check both of the cans. The dirty side was over half full of a what was mostly golden water with a bit of crud and a weird smell. It smelled of oil, gas and something strange like bad, raw hamburger. This surprised me. I wasn't going to look at it for another month or so.
The clean side had nothing it it, maybe a bit of mist.
I wanted to mention this because if you are new to these, and you live in a cold climate, it is a good idea to check every 1,000 miles or so.

My 24eco has. About a teaspoon in 18000 miles . Slightly milky oil a little white from condensation. Are you short tripping ,not bringing it up to full temperature?

Check it often, when they temps drop below freezing it fills up quickly. Mine can get full in like two weeks.

The orange color and smell is normal. Unfortunately, I didn't check mine very soon after installing and it was totally full the first time I did. Hopefully it didn't cause any damage but everything has been fine for the past year.

Yes, mostly short trips and warm ups with remote start. But I do get it to full temp on most trips.

I have the UPR brand very plug and play. I have them installed on my maverick and f150 raptor. I don't see the need unless your short tripping the trucks. Almost nothing in either catch can.

@ryde4ever posted a link to buy them.
I have my setting in the box waiting to be put on. Can't right now because it has been in the single digits here in Northern Michigan.

You living in a warm and dry climate I can see it not catching much. But in a cold and humid environment they catch a fair amount.
