First catch can drain

I installed Buschur's catch can at my 1k mile break-in oil change, and just drained it after 5k miles. The fluid smelled like islay whisky, and had chunks of something in it. Glad this didn't make it to my Turbo! What you see in the cup was 5k miles of stop-and-go commuting, and a few light tows.

I too have Buscher’s oil catch can and get a small amount of fluid and particles in city stop and go traffic. On longer hauls, especially if the engine is working hard, the amount of retained fluid goes up. I’m keeping the fluids in an empty oil container just for the heck of it.

Have been using old soup cans to catch the fluids; looks like your using a plastic cup?

First thing i grabbed. I poured it into an old gas can I have for bad gas. I take that to the hazardous waste recycle facility.
