I am going to have to do the same thing when I get mine, so that it will match mine. This is AWESOME! I have been waiting for Matchbox to finally release them. I may just get two. Now just waiting for the big Diecast models to come out so I can Match mine on a bigger scale.

Dont get me wrong.
I am very happy the Maverick is being produced in model from (Hot Wheels and Matchbox).
But, I was hopping it would be done by Greenlight..
Their's are a little more prototype..

I'm really waiting for a 1/24 or 1/18 scale diecast. I like the hotwheels/matchbox size because of price but I just want something a bit more substantial.

Package says matchbox released this model in 2025, but the car is modeled on the 23

Yeah, and as a kid I was taught by dear ol' dad that a motor runs on electricity and an engine runs on a fuel like diesel or gasoline. Guess those NASCAR guys who are gunna drop in a new motor should make room for extra batteries, huh?

I guess they should stop pouring motor oil in them too. That might not end well.

Man, the wheels suck. I guess all Matchbox vehicles get those, but still.

Found wheels on Etsy. Several vendors and options. Ordered a set from there. Now awaiting new wheels and paint. Oh, and still waiting on my full scale Mav also.
