The point is to get people to buy 'Made in America'.
I would call It a victory if the Tariff forced
Ford to move all manufacturing back inside the 48 states
and employ American workers.
All Ford would have to do Is factor in a greater cost of labor.
I doubt that would raise the price more than 10 to 12%
BUT My Ford's would be American Made and I'd gladly pay more for that !

Now If we could get Ford to make Its own parts, Like Elon did with Tesla.
He made so much money that he is now paving the way to build Star Ships at a rate of 100 per month.
His Cyber truck plant Is In Texas. Not Mexico.
Betcha no body saw that coming.
But they keep EXPLODING!

Tariffs for Trump not trying to bring business back to America it’s a border control strong arm.
correct, and this is not a political spin. this is literally what the president and his reps are saying, Mexico and Canada tariffs seek border control and drug enforcement.

China is different. that's trade imbalance, national security, and buy American. China was not mentioned in a Feb 1 target date.

again, anyone in doubt just go read the articles. they are everywhere and when everyone is reporting the same thing, odds are that it's some version of correct, lol.

Well, I guess I can kiss looking for another one goodbye. I'm sure when the tariff is enacted, it'll be on vehicles being built after the fact. I would imagine existing ones made before the tariff are exempt. But, with how slimy most dealerships are, they'll probably markup those existing ones and disguise it as an "adjusted import tax."

they would absolutely use markups if they were able to because the pre tariff trucks (24 and 25) are a finite quantity.

I doubt the market would bear an increase all the way to the post tariff MY25 price though. pre tariff MY25 will be extremely hot in the secondary market, but those obviously can't cost as much as a new truck with tariff.

Ford is probably kicking plans into high gear to retool an existing C2 domestic line to Mavericks. wherever the escape is made, that's a top choice but the edge is gone so that's another option.

same, I just have to argue my 500 dollar non refundable deposit back if it happened, which I dont believe will since granger has told me several times, price protected. they dont see any issues. I think it'll be people who buy after tariffs go into effect

its possible the government itself would honor orders from before tariffs? like ford/gov agreement to not screw over customers- just wishful thinking.
check your state laws. some states require the deposit to be refundable. mine does (which is probably why my dealer doesn't require them).

The math doesn’t seem to to add up to smiles like 10x on that investment. But think of how much interest you saved. Saved is as good or better then gained.
I paid off my first house in 6 years with zero investments and it was a great feeling. Sold it 10 years later for double what I bought it for and it sold instantly. Can’t wait to pay off my new one.
Congratulations.
I was gambling in options, I struck big few times so I took everything I had and went all in, total loss 25k gone

I felt so sad, and pissed bc I still owed $ from the gains in tax. 27 months ago I owed 135k principal on house, I had a 152k loan. I said fuk it. I paid 129k off in last 27 months, something like 4500 a month average additional principal.

calculators roughly estimates me to save like 55-60k in interest, but its tax free gains. So really, for 2 years of no life-n my house bills, that’s like 80-90k income. I look at it as a bonus. Lol

But yeah, I owe like 6k left on house, I’m paying down to 2k and leaving it run, bc I get truck in few months. Would hate to pay it off and have it drop my credit 50points before I get loan.

I will be the 2nd person, my grandma is first to own a home. I will be 35 in July. I bought it on my own when I was like 26/27

The whole idea was, the saved interest was to offset my loss. I didn’t and more, now I can start investing future soon, after I pay truck off and such

Ohio does as well, but since I paid to a state ie. Granger
Doesn’t their law trump mine?

My deposit is refundable if the price changes. Which it would with tariffs but I'm also expecting the built email any day now so hopefully I'm making the cut. Been in production for over 10 days

Tariffs are collected by the Federal government and hence income. This will permit expenditures for things like the continuation of the 2017 tax cuts which most benefited the wealthy and still keep the deficit at an "acceptable" level!! Right, just sayin... Do not forget that all your increased costs of purchases will result in paying increased sales tax. Example on vehicle in GA, add 6.6 percent of the additional cost.
