Decided to spice up the factory fender vents. I'm not a huge fan of the Air Designs ones, so I decided to add some mesh to my stock ones. I'm leaving this for anyone who wants to do the same. The only costs were $10 for the epoxy and $30 for the mesh, and that gave plenty extra. The only tools required are a dremel with a cutting wheel and sanding attachment.

How do you pop that trim off? I plan on putting a plug for a battery tender there.
All I did was pop the hood and reach back along the inside of the fender and push out on the tabs. It takes some force but they will pop out. I watched THIS video for reference

I dig it. Might have to make this a winter project.
Where'd you get the mesh and epoxy from? Amazon?

I got the mesh from HERE mainly because I couldn't decide which one I wanted and they have a free sample pack with scrap pieces. The epoxy I got from Home Depot

Is there anything behind the new vent that would be an issue for carwashes, etc.?

Nothing that I can really think of, it gets wet behind there anyway. But I also only wash my truck at home.

Looks nice but seems like it would add even more air turbulence in that notoriously noisy, unsealed area.
It's a small enough area that's cut out, but I guess I'll find out. Like you said, it's already noisy enough

That came out nice! 👍🏼

I've always been a big fan of mesh grills when done right. Yours came out very well. It looks factory like it should have come with the Lobo package.

I took the easy route and just dropped in some Tufskinz 🤷🏼‍♂️
