3D Printed Bin for the Bed Cubby

To make the bed storage cubby easier to use I drew up and printed a bin that attaches to the lid.

Looks nice. Be even better if it could extend lower in the cubby to make use of the blocked off bottom half inside the cubby.

You do know that the little plate at bottom of that cubby lifts out and you have a larger storage area. I just threw the little plate that made it just the little area away.

Yes. That is why I stated the post as I did. Implying that the plate was removed and the 3D print extends into the lower portion of the cubby if not to the bottom of the cubby instead of only the top half. If nothing else, this offers a learning opportunity for anyone that didn't know. Thank you.

I’ve only had 3 cups of coffee today, so my brain may have not been firing on all cylinders. I’m going to let my son know about your file as he has 3-3D printers and prints a lot of custom item for customers.

No worries. I'm about to cut out of work after working 9 hours at a Ford dealership.

That’s got be a great job. What dealer do you work at? I doubt I’ve been there, but I’ve been in several as when we vacation I stop at some to try to score a dealer baseball cap as I collect the ford dealer caps.

I am not sure if you are referring to the following cubby from us that can extend to the lower side. Attached picture for you reference, thank you.

Might be possible but I'm not that interested. I store a never used toe rope in the bottom half and frequently used bungees in the top half.

I'd be all over that if I didn't already store my hitch and extra balls in there. That looks pretty cool.

Now... if the little divider bewteen the upper and lower sections could be incorporated into something else - like maybe an underseat divider so it doesn't rattle around in my glove box until I take it out and lose it... LOL

And since I don't have a 3d printer I would have to get someone to make said divider for me for $$
