2023 FX4 lifted 1.5” and mounted 245/70R17 tires

Here are some initial pics of my Maverick with a 1.5” lift and 245/70R17 tires

from the factory:
- 2023 Cactus Gray Lariat
-FX4 package
-4K tow package
-Co-Pilot Assist (ACC)

aftermarket stuff:
-1.5” ready lift dealer installed
-245/70R70 Toyo AT3 tires (stock wheels)
-Dealer installed SIBL
-blacked out FX4 decal and Ford logos (etsy)
-black maverick letter inserts
-stubby antennae
-soft open tailgate

notes:
-slight increase in road noise but not bad
-gas mileage TBD but doesn’t seem to have changed much
-ground clearance up to 10.5” ish measured from the lowest spot i saw on the tailpipe

The stock tailpipe routing is terrible. Looking forward to replacing it when it rusts out the day after warranty runs out.

Looks great! I have the Eibach 2-inch lift springs en route now. Looking forward to getting them installed. I am also thinking about going to the 245/70s. Would you mind taking a straight profile/broadside picture and posting it? I'd like to see what those tires look like from that angle.

I think a 1.5”-2” lift with slightly larger tires is the best look for the Maverick. Great job OP, love the way it looks.

Nice look. On the FX4 what are the stock tires? Falken Wildpeaks or Pirelli Scorpion tires?

Yikes! It's sucks to buy a new vehicle and have to get new tires right away. Makes me really wonder about the FX4 package. "Shakes fist at Ford"

Well you can option the 235 Falkens but it is at the expense of the black FX4 wheel, which has never made sense to me since I bet the black FX4 wheel was a big selling point of that package for many (myself included). The FX4 package just needed to include 235s no matter what from the start and the machined wheel that Ford requires you to switch to should have just been a separate option.

Well, I can tell you that I paid $520 for four new Cooper Discoverer ATs at Walmart in size 245/65/17. But I was able to sell my stock tires on FB Marketplace for $400. So, really it only cost me a little over 100 bucks to upgrade the tires and go two sizes larger. I'll take that as a win!

@timmytonga love the Toyo tires!!! Got the same size as you? With just a level kit. I feel the ride is day and night. It definitely handles better. What other mods are you planning???

i’d love to get a raptor grille but i’m waiting to see if someone comes out with something with a cutout for the radar. i haven’t been able to find anything with accommodations for that yet.

i’m also planning to out in an auto dimming mirror with homelink.

after that i’m not sure—will come up with something though!
