So I was in an accident on Oct 19th when someone lost control on the highway and spun out into my lane and destroyed my Maverick. I finally got the estimate from the body shop which was a whopping $32,306.82. This obviously totaled the truck so now I am going back and forth about "fair market value" of the truck and I think we are finally about there with a pending offer of about $48k. For your viewing pleasure I am attaching the entire estimate (minus my personal information of course) so you guys can see how much these things are to fix. Mine is a Hybrid Lariat with LUX package and Co-Pilot 360 so some parts may be different on mine vs a different trim or powertrain.

Ford Maverick What a $32,306.82 Maverick repair estimate looks like crash

$48K, considering the loss of transportation for what, a year or more to replace?
OP is getting screwed.

Hold it. You saying that the insurance company is going to write you a check for $48k?
Yup, just waiting for the offer. The first offer was just under $44k and we talked after that and he was able to make some adjustments. Just because sticker price was $32,500 doesn't mean used ones aren't going for between $40-$50k for a Hybrid Lariat. When you can't buy a new one "Fair Market Value" can be your friend.....

Loss of transportation for a year??? I'm just going to go out and by another vehicle with the $48k they just handed me. There are a lot of other options out there other than the Maverick. Might order a 2024, or I might just stick with what I end up buying. I have another car as well so no loss of transportation, not getting screwed at all.

I saved the PDFs as it looks to be a pretty comprehensive parts list.

This op is smart. He seems to know that negotiations are in order, any time dealing with a claims adjuster. Don't simply take their first offer. Also, be willing to wait days for them to accept the price YOU desire.

Some nice light reading- Thanks for posting- What's next for the $48 k ?
Great question!! I'm not sure honestly. I have another car so I'm not in a hurry to run out and buy something so I will do some research and figure something out. I know the new CRV Hybrid is hitting lots, and that's pretty nice, or maybe something more fun like an Audi S4 or the new BMW M2, OR the new 2023 Volvo S60 hybrid or recharge plug in hybrid. Hell I might wait for the electric Macan to hit dealers next year and drive one of those before I make my decision. I'll have fun trying to figure it out I'm sure haha.

Wasn't my fault, I wasn't going to get penalized for someone else making a stupid mistake. I think $48k is fair for what I had this market and I'm sure he was happy I stopped there lol
