Hey yall, it's been awhile. Lol. Glad to see you again. I went web surfing and found a @TrailFX drop in bedliner and the tailgate cover for $238.83 shipped to my door. Even with $50 for freight the deal is too good to pass up. Mind you, there is not a single picture of what this thing looks like from any website. I emailed and they replied back quickly saying they have zero pictures of what it looks like. So I click send and it shows up 5 days later and I rate it a 95%.
Ford Maverick I bought the TrailFX drop in bed liner 20240908_113827

1. It dropped in like a glove, no prep.
2. It retains all the molded 2x4 gaps.
3. The holes for tie downs in back of the bed are aligned perfect.
4. The cubby holes on both sides are precut but was nice because I was able to unbolt my 400w left side, and cubby right side and then template the screw holes.
5. The bedliner covers the 12v power sources at the back. I like this because I have no purpose for them. I can always cut with a oscillating saw and a putty knife later.
6. Its durable as heck, i put a heat gun to it and it budged very little.
7. The very front of the liner sits on top of the bed lip. (If you dont like that, you can always shave it back). I put a roll of velcro under to hold it to the truck and then ran a bead of silcone over the lip. (Pic below, prior to silcone)

The bad:
1. The front tie downs are only accessible from the holes that are cut out in a circle instead of the 2 holes for the tie down. (Pic below)
Ford Maverick I bought the TrailFX drop in bed liner 20240908_111851

2. The left side power inverter had to be trimmed ½ inch bottom left of inverter frame to fit the molded part of the liner. I tried on the liner to put some heat and gave it full beans while pressing but there wasn'tany give. The area shaved off does not affect bolt hole area.

3. If you have the bed rails, you will need to drill for that but the circle cut at the front of the bed may not be to your liking (picture below for reference)

4. The very front of the bedliner sit's on top of the front bed rail. I would have liked to see a flush to the top of the rail.

Hope you guys like it. What do you think about? Honest opinions only.

They had it on a pallet. The freight guy cut it loose and we carried it over to my porch.

Honest opinion? The SIBL is the only way to go. Too many problems with the DIBLers. Water can get under a SIBL. Improper fit. It can become a sailboat and fly off. Dry rot and cracking is another issue. Things will slide around more with a SIBL. IDK what you paid for it, but a SIBL is around $700 for the Maverick at Line-X.

It should be there but Ford pulled the ultimate switcharoo mid 23 builds to delete the SIBL.

Sorry, but there is no way in hell the Ford 5 piece DIBL is going to fly out and become a sail. It is very well secured with the design utilizing the tie downs to lock it in place.

I sprayed a coating of fluid film on the bed before install to act as both a lubricant and rust preventative.

Mine cost me $150 out the door utilizing Ford Pass points and the dealer giving me a 20% discount. LineX wanted $675.00 to spray a 4 1/2 foot box!!!! Highway robbery in my estimation.

Honest opinion of the OP's DIBL is it looks nice enough and the price is very fair. Nothing wrong with it.

As long as the liner does not move and scratch that lip, i'd call it good.
I wished the Ford/Penda drop-ins covered that lip too.
I got a number of scratches on the bed lip now after doing "truck stuff".

I put down a strip of velcro behind the whole length of it and then sealed with silcone. Around outside edges. All water will run into dibl and then exit from the rear at the tailgate

What did you use to polish it to that mirror-like finish?

Thx for your install detail summary.

I bought their tailgate cover and have no complaint. To save on shipping, you can have the trailfx order shipped to one of their dealers for pickup.
