Hey guys, so just game back from another awesome trip in the little maverick up too Mamoth mounts for camping after a winter storm. This thing handles awesome in the snow/mud and is becoming an awesome adventure build.

Below I’ll list all the mods to date

- gofast camper(3 beef bars with solar tray)
-2” rough country lift
-245/70R17 Toyo Open country AT3
- Pair of Baja design LP6 lights (gfc aluminum mounts)
-pair of Baja design squadron sport (diode dynamic a pilar mounts)
-Auxbeam 6 gang switch panel/fuse box
- pair of Amazon special amber chase lights and same pair in white for back up (gfc aluminum mounts)
- pull out kitchen(built by yours truly)
-Alpicool 44 quart fridge/frezer
-bluetti ac180 battery
-renovou 100w framed solar panel
- maxtraxx with maxtrax mounts mounted to beef bars
-Overland vehicle systems shower room (2 gfc awning mounts used)
-Overland vehicle systems HD LT 270 passenger side awning (3 gfc awning mounts used)

Cosmetics

-window tint all around
- chrome delete on badging
- roof wrapped black

Everything you see here was bought brand new and all for the cost of less than a ranger raptor. Considering I don’t plan on jumping this thing in the dunes it’s perfect. It has taken me anywhere I needed to go and has been extremely reliable.

Any plans to upgrade the rear shocks or possibly some air bags?
Yes definitely so just to carry me over for now I’m going to add the airlift bags on the rear but also I have been speaking to Eibach and they are releasing and inverted monotube coil over style strut with a 2” lift specifically for the tremor in May (I’m hoping they will have overload shocks as an option) and they are saying it will be right around $1,000 so way better deal that gr40 from flat out with a much more reputable brand

The only thing else I’m wanting after that is full underbody protection from Jrc. The dinky felt pads underneath are not cutting it. Possible a winch on the front end as well but that is a big project so I’ll leave that for next winter when I calm down on trips

Thank you. It has averaged the last 2k miles getting 17.7 mpg. Compare that to any build out overland rig with a roof top tent and everything I have in there . It’s still an excellent mpg for what it is. Also I’m not the nicest driver. Even stock I was never doing better than 21

Absolutely! I have a stock XLT Tremor and averaging 23 mpg. I'm hoping to at some point get an RTT, and 17 mpg is very reasonable. That's basically what a V6 stock Taco averages. Thanks for sharing!

Disagree on the reputable part. Eibach is shit to deal with when things go south. Flat Out has excellent customer service.

Should you go with Eibach I hope you don’t run into any issues bc you’ll be holding the bag wishing you went GR40.

Don’t hold your breath on JRC. Been promising a lot and never delivering. We all want more underbody protection but the market isn’t their for them.

Sorry I’m a bit confused, Jrc already has the skid plates available. So that’s just a matter of ordering.

Also do you happen to work for Flat out lol

I’ve heard a mixed bag of reviews about flat about and also back is in Corona CA so hopefully if I ever run into trouble a quick drive to their headquarters should solve my issues (I would hope)

I have heard of a couple stories of flat out not even responding back to customers having issues. I’m not wanting to dog on the company but the reviews online kind of scare me. (I would love real feedback from people who have the gr40 set up)

Sounds like you may have dealt with both companies? Care to share?

Love it. Thanks for the inspiration. I am going a lot more budget friendly. I am also 5’5” and can sleep in the bed. So plan is to get a cap and make a platform to put storage bins and what not under it. Bed on top of that. I have yet to start my build, but should be picking up a cap the second weekend of April. Will want a canopy for sun / rain protection. Debating on building something for storage in the back seats, possibly even removing them and doing a removable setup back there as it is my daily as well. I don’t see much use of the back seats though.
