Adding gear to the rear is going to squat it out pretty good. Won't be pretty going off road anywhere!
I left my 2 inch RC lift kit. Got rid of the squat with all the gears in the back.

How about some pics of all the gear in use? Some of us are not familiar with overlanding gear.

I took my time with the build (around 3 months?) so I just thought I'd share with you all where I am at. Very excited to get out on the road and test out my new toys. I am located in the Valley in California (Northern California) so if you guys have any nice spots for me to check out I would truly appreciate it!

Very nice. 4k? Plans to lift in the future?
I've been wanting to pull the trigger to do so, but with the amount of stories I've read with lift kit failures, I've just been putting it on hold.. maybe when it's necessary since i dont plan on doing any extreme off-roading.

TrailRax told me at Overland Expo this weekend that they have a Maverick roof rack coming. FrontRunner also said they are still working on theirs and hope to have it out soon
MAN! That's some good news! I've been wanting to make time to go to an Expo for this type of information. Thank you for instilling some hope back into me!

It might be a trek but getting over to the Eastern Sierras...immaculate beauty and so many places to camp!
Sounds like a plan! Thanks for the recommendation! Just got back from camping and already cant wait to get back out!

She's got a good squat going already. Have you loaded up with gear yet?
Thanks for taking the time to check it out! But yeah! the truck in the pictures was already loaded with most of the gear already, the only other things left were just light duffel bags of clothes, blankets etc.. Just got back from a 3 day trip and so far i could say the squat hasnt been an issue...yet.. haha would love to get it lifted one day

Looks good man! Yeah, you definitely want to get a roof rack so it doesn't create that much drag. It would look more consistent. Our mpg's are already good enough to begin with.
I'm a bit concern on how your bracketing set up with your 270⁰ Batwing OVS Awning. That's definitely gonna get the shakedown/breakdown when you take it offroading.

Did you use the proprietary bracket OVS provided?
I'm not gonna lie.. it was tough trying to figure out a way to set up the awning being 80lbs.. I settled using 3/4 inch steel supports meant for marble countertops. and the reason it needed to be extended out that high and far was for clearance for the rooftop tent.. just got back from a 3 day camping trip and no issues yet.. i don't plan on doing any extreme Off-roading either so it should be enough.. i hope..

I'd go with the 2nd option. Super easy install. There's not any factory/or OEM mounting point in our Maverick roof to modify your first option. Though ot looks really sweet. There's not really any issues on having the clamp on option. I went with Inno rack system that came off of my 2001 Galant. Just so happen they share the same model tower/clip. There, I saved some money. 😆 I have mine mounted for more than a year now. No issues whatsoever.

That's a beautiful build man! it looks a lot better than i imagined! I also have the same type of clamp-on rack on my Honda Civic, i may just try to fit that on to mine the way you did!

sadly i can only agree here haha it's a good thing i don't plan on doing any extreme off-roading but even then.. an 8-9 in clearance is barely enough for a peace of mind..
