Installed cab fairing and Morimoto 3rd brake light.

I wasn't sure how the light and fairing would look together. The Morimoto light looks really good to me, the oem light just stuck out , with the BAP .
Wasn't sold on the fairing, but it turned out great.
What do you think?? :like:

A fairing is used to reduce drag. That thing looks like it creates drag. It might protect the paint and light when leaning something against it in the bed. Is it glued or taped?

I don't think it is going to affect drag, it doesn't stick up much. Mainly for looks.
I suppose it could direct the air over the bed better, but in my daily drive, red light to red light, it probably won't make a difference.
It is held on by tape and glue.

Noice!! I'm still on fence with the cab spoiler for mine.. I guess I'm waiting on a higher profile tailgate spoiler than what for offers now.

Spoilers at NON racing speeds, say below 80 or 90 mph don't add any significant down force unless they are super big.
Technically they Increase the vertical flat surface area and that creates more suction that pulls back on the vehicle.
Like the Study done on tail gate down for more aerodynamics. That was scientifically proven wrong back in the 80's.
Gate down doubles the rear vertical flat area effectively doubling the suction pulling back as the air tries to fill the vacuum, That Is but one form of aero dynamic Drag.
Tail gate up creates a pressurized air bubble that helps the bulk of the air flow over and past the vehicle.
As for the Increased Drag co-efficient effect on MPG's I think It would be negligible unless you were running above 80 mph or closer to 120 mph.
Our little Trucks would run out of Haul ass near those speeds.
I'd bet It would chop one to two mph off our top speed to, But that turbo just might make up the difference. Turbo's love resistance.

Still, I think they look way cool.

Looks great got any pics from the side so we can see how it looks on the whole truck?
Side pic. It really does not stand out much with the black truck and the black spoiler. The texture is slightly different than the pillar covers, but unless you are right up next to it, you can't tell any difference.

looks great,nice looking truck I have a 2024 xlt,w/lux pkg and bap pkg with the cab spoiler like you have,where did you purchase the 3rd brake lamp from?been looking on ebay and Amazon finding many others just not the same one.thank you.

Morimoto light. Its not cheap, and was fun to install, but the quality of the light is apparent in hand. They offer a strobe type brake light module, but I just stayed with the normal brake lights. Super bright lights.
