Wondering if anyone has purchased the Sports Bar kit from KEKO Automotive in Florida. Just a review of the order, shipping and install process. I'm in Hawaii so I'm already prepared for the $200 shipping. I really don't want look like every other Tacoma in the island with the standard racks plus i would have to get them fabricated to fit with my cover. Thanks

@Shay had a video for his channel Keko Sports Bar - Unbox, Install, Review on Ford Maverick (admittedly I haven't watched it)

There's also this thread: Keko Sport Rack / BAKFlip MX4 Combo installed

I have one myself similarly installed utilizing the tonneau mounting to hold it in place in lieu of the brackets. They don't jive with the sliding cleat rails anyways IIRC. The only little tricks that stand out with the install is you may want a drill handy for pilot holes for the screws that attach the runners to the front bar.

I have both the Electric Bed Cover and the Sport Bars.

I absolutely love both of those accessories.

Dealing with the Keko team was a total breeze!

The Sport Bars are only for cosmetic purposes, but they do look good.

You can check this small video I made:

Cheers!

Is the Sport Bar strong enough to use as a tie down?

Also is the bar by the rear window strong enough to use as a winch point if I wanted to put the hook and cable on it and pull an ATV into the truck bed?

@Shay same question. I watched the videos. I know it is not a safety device or roll bar. But strong enough for a pull point?

Thank you.

It's not terribly thick wall tubing so I wouldn't risk it. You're probably better off putting a bridle between the front bed anchor points.

Absolutely NOT!

Don't do what you are asking me, it's 99.9% only for the looks. I would not secure anything to that bar. I got it just for the looks.

I wouldn't use it that way no. It look cute though. :p

I would totally be comfortable mounting some lights to it - not an anchor for any kind of loading.
