I saw one of these Keko Sports Bar (by @Keko Automotive) in person at the SEMA Show earlier this month and just had to try it out. Here is a video of the unboxing, installation walk through and my thoughts on it.

Great review as always! But there are some practical uses for a chase bar as Jeremy Clarkson and his mates demonstrate:

Great work with the video.
The keko sport bar makes the maverick look really nice.
If there was an extra attachment for the back to transform it in some kind of rack and carry the occasional lumber would be a choice for me.
I also feel that you lose some easy of use in loading the vehicle from the side as the bed now becomes taller.

Agree with this. Cross bars for the rack could be huge. Wouldn't think it would be hard either.

I'm actually adding KC lights to mine, no need to modify it. You can just buy them with mounts and they go right on.

Thanks for the response. I am moving from a Toyota 4 Runner which I love. I've had three in the last 20 years in fact. Because of the roof rack of the 4 Runner and the cargo space in the back, I believe I might be losing some cargo space when traveling. I thought this would be perfect because I could then put a soft luggage carrier on top of the Bakflip and strap it to the Keko.
Now I am wondering for you that already have your truck, with a hard trifold tonneau cover, is there still a way to put a soft luggage carrier on top and strap that down somehow???

Yes but may not be operable. This is my hard folding cover installed with the bar. It cannot be folded open, but it makes for a nice secure cover. Can be removed easily if I need to put large things in bed.
