Your average mph per tank

I see a lot about mpg, which is good info. What really surprises me is the average mph. This is my first vehicle with miles driven and time driven on the display cluster. I have never paid much attention but yesterday I filled up with 505 miles and 14 hrs. 21 minutes for an average of 35 mph. Now this tank had more city miles than usual. Maybe 35% mile-wise, but quite a bit more time-wise. May be just me, but I never, never would have thought I only averaged 35 mph!! City drivers must have a really low mph average.........

I have not noticed if the clock is still ticking when my Mav is in the auto stop mode at stop lights. I am presuming the clock must still be ticking?? I read yesterday that the average person spends 6 months of his/her life at red lights. I did not believe it, but I am now starting to wonder!!

Our Mavs can go 100?! Mine is so slow I barely get up to 65 before needing to exit.

I drive 90% city, so my average MPH is about 32.

I work downtown and regularly drive 85-95% city. My average MPH is usually around 22 MPH. Lol

30.48 mph average since August.. Keep in mind that's the entire time the instrument cluster is running, even if idling when parked, and does not include the minimal time spent with remote start running so far this winter.

I have posted on here about mileage before. Then I estimated I drove 90% hiway and 10% city. I have never reset trip one.

3885 miles,, 87.3 hours,, 44.5 mph average.

Whoops, looked at the top and it said per tank. I think it would be the same.

I do about 75% highway and typically get 40-48 mpg. That is what the display says, I don’t care enough to do math.

Yes the clock runs when standing still.
But in the hybrid at least, I'm not burning any fuel while standing still so I really don't mind.

In city: 0-35. 0-40. 0-35. 0-35. Repeat with many "standing still" moments, average of 14 MPH is not uncommon. Lucky for the hybrid this nets me 55 MPG. I'd imagine a traditional vehicle with no autostop would net 15 MPG in the same condition.
