Thanks for doing what you do especially in these times

I mean no offense but after having been through some of the posts I have received your occupation strikes me as funny. Where the hell have you been when I needed you :)
I think his job is just his cover.

Roger that!!! Happy wife Happy life. Another thing that gives your age away is the whole Bret Maverick thing. I could start a whole other tread asking "do you know who Bret Maverick is" (without google)

I agree that they probably thought it would have a broad appeal. I'm just surprised as to how broad. Did you see the score count I compiled a few posts ago. I would like to know your thoughts
Yes, I saw it - no surprise here.... broad appeal... utility, economical, good looks, relatively cheap - especially coming out of the pandemic when new cars are scarce and used cars are dear. You often hear the phrase it 'checks most or all' of my boxes. Ford has a winner and the pandemic helped them out as far as market goes, but hurt them in supply chain. Folks are still barely aware of the Maverick.... demand will keep climbing once they are out on the road in force.

I am not surprised by its current and likely future success but I am surprised at how broad the age demographic has shown. I am additional surprised, as a traditionally non user/poster of forums, the age spread in this one. Nieve I guess (even at my advanced age)... what's that old saying "Never to old....."

Happy B day
Thanks! Should be driving my Maverick by then lol
I see there are several Vietnam veterans responding. Welcome home, brothers. I pulled two WESTPAC cruises, 1970-72, guarding aircraft carriers and standing mount watches on gunline duty.

Anyway, I'm close to 73, retired. I've been a machinist, a mechanic, Siemens telephone systems programmer, Census Bureau worker. I also worked for Yellow Freight in the Chicago area; my Teamsters pension will help buy my XLT.
Thank you for your service!
