Ok fine...how do I do that. Nothing nefarious here just a simple question. No one is giving up any real personal information. While I hold several degrees my first is in Sociology and it has remained an interest...why do people do what they do in groups. Didn't mean to start a fire storm. Just wondering what the average age of forum posters might be as well as what they might do for a living. Are they students? Long time career people? etc. No one is required to devolve any information. And sarcasm is certainly not required.
Retired professional developer. Traveled over 300 miles a day, everyday working with cities. 😊 I thought the Maverick was a great new smaller truck to replace my big one. How is that! 70+.

I currently have 97 data points ( Good guess Big_T). Some of the ages I had to extrapolate from replies such as Gen y or Gulf war vet etc. I still need to wash the results and add employment status, retired, student etc. But here are the current results.
Mean age = 48.5
19 to 29= 12
30 to 39= 21
40 to 49= 16
50 to 59= 22
60 to 69= 13
70+ = 13
Modes = 27, 35, 56, 59, 65 This is where I need to do some additional work and review if the replies are specific or as stated above generalizations.
It is obvious that the 50+ group has significant numbers. 50+ = 48 and the age 19 to 49 = 49.
I am surprised that the 50+ group came in so close to the 49 and under group.
My initial presumption was that the under 49 group would have significantly more data points.
I will post more when I have the opportunity to review the second criteria.
Thanks to everyone that took the time to provide actual info. I have found the exercise interesting and I never expected as many replies as I have received. Although I do wish some had stayed home 🙂

Up until 1980 or so, if we said that it was seriously meant. Now it's a light joke no one means to follow through on.
Roger. I got that. Didn't really think he meant it, ergo the smiley face in my reply (although the rest of that reply was accurate  )

I would be interest to know members age and occupation.
My god, these people act like anyone cares about anything they got going on. Like this is 1996 and their mom told them not to tell the creepy man online their full name and address.

I’m 33. I work in the mortgage business. Sociologically speaking I am the exact target demographic for the Maverick per Ford research I’m sure. Younger, female, and wanting a truck but not really wanting a truck, cares about environment so what’s a hybrid. The list goes on.

I’m a total mark.

69, retired Operations Director... mostly IT.

I think Ford marketing knew exactly what they were doing. They knew the truck would have wide appeal... so let's market to a tough audience (young independent environmentally conscious - the list goes on - .... women) and try to gain even more market share.
