XL Front Camera?

Frosty morning here in northern Ohio and I had a dash notice that my pre-collision warning was nonfunctional due to a blocked front camera. I have a front camera? That is news to me. Hey ForSCAN fans, what else can I use this for?

I noticed it first time washing my truck. I'm assuming on our XL's its function is for the auto highbeams.

Correct. It is in front of the rear-view mirror in that sort of big black plastic casing that lays right up against your windshield. It is the reason you can't just slap any old replacement windshield in there. The new windshield has to be "calibrated" if replaced so that the front facing camera still works correctly.

You can unlock traffic sign recognition. Very easy to do. There's a guide over in the tech forum.

I believe for pre-collision assist, and automatic emergency braking.
