I stumbled on an old thread that identified membership in Veterans Advantage as providing eligibility for X-Plan pricing, so I did a little researching to try to find what "Ford Partner Recognition groups were out there. I found some more info, but I could not find a complete list.

Easy membership (minimum 90 days at time of pin generation/delivery) that allows for X-Plan:
EAA.Org $48/yr membership
VeteransAdvantage.com $59.95/yr (for military, including veterans)
Mustang.org $35 (digital)/$50 Standard
You do NOT have to have your PIN at the time of order, and it is a good idea not to get one generated until closer to delivery, as they expire in 12 months after issue.

The National Seating and Mobility website lists a "Partner Code" that you can enter to see the various vehicle X-Plan pricing on FordPartner.com. VE164 is the code to enter. But 2023 is the only year shown for Maverick at this time.

On the below link, you can scroll down to the alphabetical list of partners, but this seems to be mostly employers who are partnered with Ford as it doesn't include all of the above three organizations.

The answer to the often asked question is NO, you cannot combine X-Plan with a Farm Bureau $500 Discount,

You should always obtain agreement from your dealer that they will honor X-Plan at the time of order. They are under NO obligation to allow you to use X-Plan when you spring it on them at delivery. When you order, your DORA Preview Order should have the X-Plan pricing shown. It sort of serves as documentation that the order was listed as a program order.
This is a 2024 Lariat Hybrid with only BAP and Transportation added:

When your window sticker is finally created, it will show the order type as "O/T X" in the "Item #" section, near the shipping ramp information. This was my 2023 WS:

Hope this helps. I chose X-Plan to get my dealer's $599 DOC fee dropped to $100 as well as saving $569.01 off of MSRP. There may be better deals out there, but I appreciated the simplicity of ordering via X-Plan.

Curious for me, it shows Lockheed Martin Corp. as a partner, but it does not show Lockheed as a partner internally under employee discounts.

As my wife worked for Ford for 31+ years we've used A-, X- and Z- plan repeatedly, and plenty of management lease when she was still an active employee.

Find a Michigan dealer if you don't want any trouble. Most of the Ford dealers in SE Lower Michigan (Detroit area) could not survive by not honoring the Ford programs. Don't let an uninformed salesman unfamiliar with this try to make up some excuse; that differential discount is paid to the dealer directly by Ford, so stop the violins in the background. The dealer is made whole by Ford regardless of the plan discount.

Ford dealers can drop ship the vehicles ordered at one dealer in one state, to another. Our dealer in Michigan happens to like driving the cars down to us from Detroit to Charlotte. He has family here, so we actually do all the paperwork in our kitchen and all the going over the car details is done in our driveway. We've done this three times in the past three years and we have two more coming up soon, maybe my Maverick if they build it next week!

You need to find your employer's partner code to enter on this website
https://www.fordpartner.com/partnerweb/login.do
Check with the person who administers the employee discounts page or submit a ticket to HR.
Then be prepared to call several dealers to find one that honors X-plan.
Maverick is the second vehicle I've ordered X-plan. Previous one was a 2001 Explorer SportTrac.

A lot of truth in this^^^^^^^

If you can find a dealer near a Ford plant, or location that has a lot of employee's, the dealers are more used to "plan" discounts.

When I first asked my local dealer if they would accept an X-Plan order, back in 11/21, the salesman checked with the manager and returned, telling me that she told him they had never done an X-Plan here in Eastern Wyoming, but would accept it...so I ordered from them.

When I eventually picked up my cancelled/reordered 2023 Maverick in March 2023, the sales manager and I went over the contract/payment. She made an odd comment. She said the numbers for X-Plan were generated by Ford and the dealership would get in trouble if the charged me LESS. LESS! I hadn't asked to pay less, but that comment made me think I might have been able to negotiate a better deal than X-Plan. I just wanted the simplicity of an X-Plan order and its $100 Doc fee cap.

I made an order for a 2024 using X-plan again for the same simplicity.

...a dealer near a Ford plant, or location that has a lot of employees...
Yessir, which is why I suggested SE Lower Michigan. ALL the dealers in this Detroit area fit that bill. There are over 50,000 active Ford employees in Michigan, and oh so many more retirees, and relatives of employees AND retirees that bump up the number of people fully qualified for any plan pricing. Thus these dealers do it routinely without excuse.

There are some markets for some vehicles (back in the good old days) when some local deals might have been better than any plan pricing for competitive reasons. Don't know if that's true any longer.

It's true. They cannot charge you more or less than the listed X-Plan price. The whole point of X-Plan is that it's a fixed price program.

Doc fees are capped at $100 - they're allowed to charge you that, but do not have to, unless otherwise required by state law.

I bought my '23 Mav using the active X-Plan discount at time of order. I've used X-Plan on other Ford vehicles in the past; just seems odd that it does not show up under employee discounts at this time.

Just remember that dealerships are not obligated to honor X plan but the honorable dealerships will. X plan only saved me a few hundred off the cost of my XL Maverick but I saved $800 on "doc fees" since X plan limited those to $100 so all in I saved about $1100 on my purchase.

Make sure you get X plan in writing and if a dealer seems unsure about X plan move on to another dealer.

That list on Thoroughbred Ford is quite old. I found my employer, NTT DATA listed but also couldn't find the code on the HR site. I call the Partner Program help desk and found that it had expired in 2016. They gave me the name of the HR rep that was listed as the contact. I checked email and found her email and sent a message. She replied that she had left the company for a couple years and apparently no one renewed it. She jumped on it and worked with Ford to get it renewed. Took about two weeks.

I've looked into X-plan other times and always been able to negotiate lower. But that's not the times we are in now - MSRP and possibly over are the norm, so X-plan is a great deal! Just make sure the dealer agrees to it ahead of time.
