Wondering if the following wheel would work. It seems like most people I see are going with +40. I don't want to go beyond the edge of the wheel well.

Most likely will fit ...but you should consider the tires used as well.
20x9 45et in front for me with 245/45/20 tires. Tread is pretty much dead on with edge of wheel well, but the tire sidewall shows a few mm beyond (outside) the well.

Based on my experience selling wheels and tires at my old shop, I would recommend against 19' wheels. It's an odd size that can really limit tire selection. You'd be better off, IMHO, going with either an 18" or 20" wheel.

You can also use this calculator to visualize fitment:

https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wh...45-20X9ET12&fcl=50mm&scl=50mm&wcl=30mm&sr=0mm
The issue of 19" tires is one that concerns me. I've dealt with that in the past on my Mustang. I'm not sure I want to run 20"s though, especially since I'll be running the Silver Coilovers as well. I'd like to go bigger than 18" though.

I don't see any reason to avoid 20's. The overall tire diameter and width are probably the more relevant factors, not the wheel diameter. If you're lowering it, a 1/2" reduction in sidewall from the 19's seems like a reasonable tradeoff to have a much better range of tire selection.

The calculator will show you the change in sidewall from stock, so try starting there.
