I use the blue kind. 😉
Here in Denver Colorado, Walmart sells the "blue kind".
:mad:Rant Warning!! Walmart sells the summer formula 32deg+ blue kind.
The summers are short here in Colorado and for the life of me I think it is shameful to sell water with blue dye in it. What is the point, I can put blue dye in water and save the $4 a bottle.
My wife bought this summer formula type and I put it in a bunch of my cars. It is blue so all good. When I went into the garage I noticed the bottles were leaking and frozen solid. Yikes, had to pump out about 8 reservoirs of this nasty stuff from my cars!
Note to self.....check to make sure the blue kind says winter formula!!!!!

A Go-To for all exterior glass is AquaPel - I've used it for years and it is an excellent product to shed water and help to keep dirt/stuff off your glass. As the water slides off it will take some of the dirt with it. Excellent Go-To product.

If you need a super heavy duty concentrate that removes bugs and dirt easily, Kristall Klar is great but when the overspray dries, it leaves a white stain (which is removable with water) but just ugly.

Otherwise, any Walmart RainX fluid works great. Avoid the off brands or dollar store ones.

Can wiper fluid be mixed with blinker fluid?

I'm a bit of a wiper nut. I hate wiper noises of any kind and have been frustrated with 'high-end' wipers that didn't perform any better than cheaper ones. I also tried many washer fluids and glass treatments thinking I was getting something better but, I was not. No matter what brand of wiper or fluids I used, the wipers would jump, squeak, streak and make noise.

I would ride in other people's vehicles and their wipers where quiet. It occurred to me that I should just keep it simple. Our Edge had Ford wipers on it when we bought it so I emptied the washer reservoir and had my dealer fill the it with whatever they use and I have had quiet, clean sweeping wipers ever since.

When I asked the Service Manager what brand it was he just said, "I don't really know, we get it in a 55 Gallon drum". I will try to find out the brand it you want, maybe they sell it in smaller sizes.:)

I think other brands of fluids left crap on the windshield that caused all the issues. This stuff seems to clean the glass and not leave a residue.

I also only get a basic wash at the car wash, no wax (I wax by hand). I work the wipers in during the wash so they get thoroughly cleaned.

Good luck.

Is there an objectively good windshield wiper fluid that you would suggest?

What makes it better than the bottom-barrel swill?

On that note, what do you treat the inside and outside of your windows with?
I use a quality glass cleaner to clean the windshield outside the some water and a clay bar to get it smooth as glass. Then clean again with glass cleaner. Then I was the glass with paste wax. At this point, you can use and washer fluid you want cause the wax keeps it very slick.
