So, if you got a letter from Ford about the ***IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL*** about the side curtain airbags with VIN number you are in the group with me. My experience with Classic Ford in Galveston was easy and smooth. I called them, they ordered the parts, got them in and called me to schedule...
I've had the Ford Maverick labeled mats for about a year and 17,000 miles. They have held up really well. Every now and then I use Armor All or Chemical Guys to get it looking like new.
Overall I'm pleased and would get them again.
Update on the change from 225 Pirelli's to 235 Falken AT3's after close to 2,000 miles on the AT3's.
My average was 27.4 and is now 27.2 - I'm surprised that there was this small a mpg difference and am pleased with it. The Falken tires ride great, the look is proper - and - again is what Ford...
The pics are correct. I have the Ford film on my Mav and am closing in on 15K miles. It has been a good product and when I wax I have no issues. Does it help prevent rocks from chipping the paint? I think it does. There have been a number of times on I-45 through Houston (always under...
The Chemical Guys goes on easy, isn't greasy, and does seem a touch darker - but - when I wipe lightly it goes back to what it was. Overall - I like both the 303 and Chemical Guys.
Thanks for the question.
In addition to using 303 you can try Chemical Guys Silk Shine Protectant. It also covers really well - I've actually started using it instead of the 303.
I'm pretty sure the Gorilla lug nuts are heat treated and are lifetime guaranteed for life. I'm not sure about them being anodized but mine do not seem like they are painted. I put them on myself and, to me the finish is anodized or PVD'd. Anyone know more? Thanks.
About the 163 price - yes...
After 11,000 miles I got tired of the look of the Pirelli 225's and switched to the Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 235/65r17's. I lost from 1-2 mpg, the ride is a little more confident, seems to track better (to me), and the look is excellent. To me it is the tire size that Ford should have offered...
Last week I bought a set of 235/65r17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's (31 lbs.) from Discount Tire at $132/tire. I'll let my son sell the Pirelli Scorpion ATR's with 11,000 miles on them. The Pirelli's were good tires. Not great, not terrible and they rode fine. A little loose but they are a light...
I received a JD Power reliability and service survey on 9-19-22 for the Maverick I've had since December 15 of 2021. Instead of throwing it away I opened it, saw the $1 bill and actually read what it said.
I went online and completed the survey. Not a bad experience and overall I felt it had a...
I've got 11,500 miles on the 225/65r17 Pirelli's with FX4, 4K trailer pkg. They've been good tires and have worn well. They also do well in Houston's rain. But - they just look too small on the Mav. So I'm swapping them out this week at Discount for the 245/65r17 Falken Wildpeak AT Trail...
I signed my DORA (dealer order receipt acknowledgement) 9-17-21, received the scheduled to build on 9-23-21, built 11-25-21, and delivered to me at Classic Ford of Galveston 12-15-21.
That's my real experience. Give it a shot and see how your timeline evolves.
Best of luck!
Mine wasn't loose at all - it just didn't latch so was not aligned. The pic above is a good one of the latch mechanism on the back of the rear seat. Mine looks just like it - with grease and in working order.
My Mav has 10K miles and I finally figured out the rear seat noise. Thanks for the member help too. The rear seat latch on mine was not aligned properly to engage with the seat back and lock it into place. I expect it passed quality control but should not have.
Yes - you lock the rear seat...
