Wiper blade adapter trouble

Attempted to swap out my wiper blades today but couldn’t find any with an adapter that fit. I bought a set of Rain-X that I was planning to put on and a cheaper set of Rainguard to keep in the truck as spare. Spent a good bit of time messing with the adapters on both sets but couldn’t get either wiper blade adapters to slide on because they were too big for the Maverick’s wiper arm. Finally gave up and went back to O’Reilys to get some help. The guy who helped out ended up opening a set of Trico and Bosch wiper blades trying to find an adapter that would fit. No luck. Ended up returning the wiper blades I had bought and am planning to see if I can a set from the dealership.

Did anyone else run into this issue?

Nope, just buy rubber inserts while having service work done at dealership. Normally snap them in myself. Once on my Honda they had them on sale for $2.50-$3.00 so I bought 4 sets.

According to this, it is a pinch tab (I&L) style, do you remember if you tried that adatpter?
