Has anyone had to replace their windshield with co-pilot 360? Is it just a recalibration or anything special besides having glass replaced? A piece of metal fell out of the back of an open top trailer on the lovely Atlanta interstate today and I have 2 big spots right in my field of view. I’m sure one will run because it has splinter cracks around the edge. Just curious what I’m in for with this

Pretty sure a recalibration will be needed once the new windshield is installed.

That’s what

I was wondering. Anything special with the glass itself? Never had the co-pilot system or anything like it in anything that I’ve had to replace the windshield in. Or can I just use any glass company?

Your auto insurance should cover the replacement and have a list of recommended companies. I would think a large reputable company like Safelite would be a good choice or check around for recommendations on local shops in your area. The recalibration is normally included in the cost. Your local ford dealer could also be a source. Good Luck

Just call a convenient place for you and ask if they do the recalibration. Most do! My neighbors kid put a hockey puck thru my windshield last month and my insurance deductible was not worth the $400 claim. Neighbor paid anyway.

Mine took less than an hour in my driveway...and should have taken it to the shop to make it easier to do the recalibration.

Had it done twice - recalibration is no problem at all.

Sheesh… priced the glass today… $630 installed for Ford glass (it’s $20 more than aftermarket glass) thru the windshield guy I use. Been a while since I’ve had to put a windshield in a vehicle but I remember it was $280 for GM glass in my wife’s old vehicle… Why did glass go up so much? Lol. Buddy that’s family owns a towing and salvage yard business told me to be prepared because glass went waaaaay up.
