I kept my window sticker after I got my Maverick and was wondering if anyone has done the same.

My father-in-law, in 1959, bought an Austin Healy, Bugeye Sprite. The car along with the original window sticker is still in the family.

I have the window sticker for the first new car I ever bought, a '91 Mustang LX 5.0 hatchback. That's about all that I still have of it. It was stolen the night before Thanksgiving in 1994, about 6 months after I paid it off. It was never recovered.

I have the window sticker, the keys, the little ring around the driver's door keyhole (which was apparently jimmied off to break into the car--I found it in the parking space where the car was), and the air intake silencer, which I had removed immediately after I got the car. I could probably sell that intake silencer to a restoration nut.
You could just restore that 91 mustang, you got the silencer and the little door lock ring all you need is a gazillon more parts.

Had one about that same year model. That 4.9 with 2.73 rear end was like from now to Christmas to get up to highway speed, but that engine was indestructible. I got something like 23 mpg on the highway. She was extended cab dark blue. Only reason I got rid of her was a long rainy week about end of June when it was so miserable having to keep windows rolled up or get half soaked. Stopped at Ford dealer in Jonesboro At one rainy afternoon on way back to farm. Left in a shiny new extended cab Ranger with A/C.

my dealer uses a really nice hard laminated one with magnets for the windows , I kept mine for the Maverick and Bronco sport , additionally I was told the green border ones are special order trucks , and the blue border ones are factory builds , any truth in that ?

The original owner actually left the window sticker in the glovebox—straight into my maintenance folder it goes! I’m the second owner of this '24 Tremor, but I’m keeping the paper trail going 100%

I have the window stickers for just about every vehicle I owned going back at least 30 years.

Your story is interesting but sad. A buddy of mine visited his parents on Christmas eve, and parked his Corvette in front of their house. On Christmas morning it was gone. Never recovered.

It was sadder than that. I had been laid off my job a few months earlier. I was working again, but as a contract employee. I was working tons of overtime, and that's probably why I didn't notice when my car was stolen. (I remember hearing what sounded like my exhaust in the night, but was too exhausted to get up and check.)

The cop who wrote up the report gave me little sympathy--he was whining about having to work on Thanksgiving Day.

I still had my '69 Mustang, but it was in rough shape. I started driving it again, still working tons of OT, and saving up money for another new car. It needed new tires.

Early the next February, I worked an all-time record week: 101.5 hours. I finally got a weekend off, and planned to get new tires, but decided to sleep in on that Saturday instead. The following Monday, as I was driving to work through a major intersection in rush-hour traffic, a guy on a bicycle was cutting through at the same time. I was in the right lane of two left-turn lanes. There was a Mack truck in the left lane. I hit the brakes to let the truck go by so I could get around the guy on the bike, but the (four-wheel drum) brakes locked and I started skidding. The car stopped cockeyed in the lane, and as the Mack truck continued its turn, the second set of wheels bashed into my left front fender ahead of the wheel. The guy didn't even know he had hit anything.

Adrenaline kicked in for me, and I chased the truck down, with my front bumper dragging on the pavement and shooting sparks, and the fender digging into the tire, shooting out bits of rubber. I pulled in front of him and slowed to a stop just before he was going to get on an expressway.

My door wouldn't open because the fender had been jammed back into it. I had to hop out the passenger side.

I wasn't injured, but it was a rough time. And I didn't get a ticket, but the trooper said if anyone got a ticket it would be me, for improper lane change. My insurance had to buy the Mack driver a new tire.

Brown is not a car color you see these days.
