OK old timers (like me) - who has the oldest Ford vehicle window sticker? I was looking at my 1972 Ford Pinto one yesterday. They use to call the VIN number the serial number.

I kept my window sticker after I got my Maverick and was wondering if anyone has done the same.

Many years ago, when I bought my first new car, the dealer handed me the window sticker and told me to keep it in the glove box for reference (and added value) if and when I sell or trade the car. So, yeah, it's a good idea. And, it takes up very little space in the glove box.
I wish that the used cars I've bought over the years had the original window sticker.
I bought a '51 Chevy and was handed a packet of papers which included the original bill of sale. This is a treasured piece of paper.

Firstly, the window sticker, by right, should be kept with the vehicle.
As I said in another post here, I have the original bill of sale for my '51 Chevy. That's a valuable piece of paper, but only with the car.

I have the original window sticker for my 68 Olds 442. back then and I believe up thru the 90's the stickers were glued on. If you sprayed with window cleaner and let it sit for 5 mins you could peel it off in one piece. Much easier with two part stickers these days.

If you’re older than dirt. I’m wondering if you have the window sticker for your first wheel.

Yes mine is laminated next to my chair. Keeps me appraised of features at a glance.

I have the window sticker for the first new car I ever bought, a '91 Mustang LX 5.0 hatchback. That's about all that I still have of it. It was stolen the night before Thanksgiving in 1994, about 6 months after I paid it off. It was never recovered.

I have the window sticker, the keys, the little ring around the driver's door keyhole (which was apparently jimmied off to break into the car--I found it in the parking space where the car was), and the air intake silencer, which I had removed immediately after I got the car. I could probably sell that intake silencer to a restoration nut.

I keep every piece of paperwork for every vehicle I’ve owned in a folder. Including sticker and every service record. I believe it’s helped realize value when it’s time to get a new vehicle. The again I may have a problem…. :ROFLMAO:

Also have an 89 ranger I bought from orig owner. He kept a notebook with everything ever done. And I mean everything from filling the tank, changing the oil, tires etc. Bought it from his son and few years ago and you can tell that truck wa loved. I’m just the caretaker for the next owners.

Yes, always keep window stickers for any new car purchased. Treat for the next owner to have and include when handing over the document package of servicing or upgrades.

It's only been three weeks, but yeah. It's in the glove box and will stay there until the truck gets crushed. Can't really say why, but it seems like a thing worth keeping.
I keep all my paperwork home in a folder. You never know when you may need it to show what was on the truck when ordered. Also passing on paperwork to the next owner, shows that you were a person who cared about maintainence.
