Does this mean the wait gets longer? Or does the mfg in Mexico side step that issue.

It may not be a rumor…. I received a notification this morning from Vin View that my truck, which was in IL, had been taken back to KS due to a BAD order… aka “defective rail car”The plants in Mexico aren’t UAW, however there may be an issue once the vehicle arrives in the states. The teamsters are honoring the strike and I also heard (a rumor) that the railway workers won’t be transporting the vehicles either.
How does one have access to VINView ?...You have a real-time update from VINView (by FreightVerify) on a VIN you set up alerts for...
Your dealer has to enroll you… here is a snap shot of a post on MTC with the instructions if your dealer doesn’t know how to do it.How does one have access to VINView ?
They will suck it up, expecting a huge signing bonus like usual. It'll take a while before the reduced pay hurts the workers. It'll also take a while before the strike hurts the automakers, considering inventories have been exploding the last few months.Just some info to ponder: strike pay for UAW members on strike is $500/week. That’s probably less than half their normal pay and you have to be on strike more than six days before that kicks in. If, like a majority of families, UAW workers are living paycheck-to-paycheck, the strike could get painful for the strikers pretty quick.
My Medium sized dealer only has 43 new vehicles for sale. That includes 15 F150's. They used to have 250-350 at all times. They will suck it up, expecting a huge signing bonus like usual.
