Family is from Georgia, moved out to help take care of Dad and his Alzheimer’s plus take a research position, grew up in DFW and Kent (Sutton Valance) /Surrey England.

Does that help with the spelling issue?
Ah, yes that explains it. I know Europeans and I think Canada spells it like that. Not sure why we spell it differently here. Even our grammar is different. People from Britain seem to not use words like we do in the states. They omit many of them when they talk.

Dude....you missed the joke....

Google Dire Straits and listen to "Money for Nothing." There is a crass lyric referring to rocks stars with a gay slur....but it is an iconic song...especially the guitar riff.
great song, great group

Yeah...I'm far from a good ol' boy, sir. :) Born and raised in Ohio, though I managed to avoid most of the Daughters of the Confederacy indoctrination.

Either way, I was just trying to help out with some context, sir.

I was born and raised in "Jersey" I knew all about the Dire Straits.

I live mainly in USA, but quite a bit in Canada. I try to email my neighbors in whichever dialect fits.

-- I pay the check at the register in the USA; I pay the bill at the till in Canada.
-- I send my neighbor a check in the USA; I send my neighbour a cheque in Canada.
-- and on, and on, and on

Spell-check drives me crazy.

Relax people. New model launches are always a rodeo and don't forget we are still in a global pandemic that is making globally sourced parts and components slow to arrive. Yes the chip shortage. Yes the people in the factories (COVID-19). Don't forget global shipping ports - China specifically where some parts come from - are chronically backed up.

No production dates have been "cancelled" rather scheduling rounds have not happened the last couple weeks. That is not a cancellation that is a pause in scheduling until they get their ducks swimming at speed so they know what they can schedule.
Thank you for the refreshing viewpoint. Everyone should calm down and be patient. It's like Christmas morning...........can't wait for it to happen, but very shortly it's all over! Enjoy the process and don't get angry and frustrated with something we have little control over. Funny how two desert dwellers can find a way of CHILLIN' out. Everyone, have a wonderful day and stay safe and healthy.

Think if you went to Quebec (that’s where the Canadian French dialect is primarily used, correct?)

I think it is good that no one here has actually test-driven a Maverick. The wait would feel even more intolerable if you all knew how awesome this truck is first-hand 😆😂😭
Your not helping!
