Just got 2024 XL. Nice young guy salesman. No complaints. I asked specifically about electric control of exterior mirrors. If that was not an option on XL that’s a no go and I'd have been moving to XLT. He called me back to assure me it was a non issue. Now that I have the car home, I spent a while with the owners manual and then called him. ā€œPlease send photo, that’s weirdā€ said he’d investigate. That was an hour ago. Guessing he doesn’t want to call backšŸ˜‚ Dude: just take a moment before saying yes. Sheesh. Not a show stopper but c’mon

" I asked specifically about electric control of exterior mirrors as I had ready that on XL that’s a no go. "

**If you spoke like you type maybe he didn't understand you.

Right but I already have this one.
I get that. My point is that the salesman was not wrong that an XL can have electric adjustable mirrors, and that your reading about the XL no-go was conditionally false.

Your truck doesn't have them which is somewhat of a bummer, but in my opinion not really unless someone else drives your truck often and needs to move the mirrors. I think missing CP360 blind spot notification would matter a lot more to me.

Right, and not going to give him a hard time but in fact we do have two drivers of very different sizes. No biggie, the truck is good.

This. ā˜(y)

It mentions what's included on Ford's tentative build site, if one takes the time to read about trim levels, options and what the options include. Power mirrors and a larger sized spare tire were the main reasons I added the $650 CP360 option to my lowly XL build.

I'm the sole driver of my Maverick. But in the past, I've had vehicles with manual mirrors and I've found that they get bumped by careless people in crowded parking lots. Without someone in the passenger seat to help re-adjust the mirrors, it can be a PITA to put them back where they need to be.

Previous car salesperson chiming in.....you should know more than your salesperson about the car your buying. Ford has 20 plus models each with 3-4 trim levels. To memorize all the options and trim is unrealistic, by the time you do the next model year has changes. Loved it when a customer had all the info about the car, all I had to do was negotiate price.

I lick a battery while adjusting mine if I want them to operate electronically 😁

They work just fine the old fashion way. Little surprising the options missing on the XL that I thought were industry base standard.

Sure, I agree but when the car is sitting directly outside the showroom door - like 20 feet away - and it's something that somebody else ordered and is now suddenly available (point being, I did not order and needed a better understanding of what it had/did not have) , how tough is it to open the door and look? Good info for future sales, I get my one question answered and everyone is happy. Didn't mean to stir up a hornet's nest but almost anything will do that, these days.

I agree the car salesman was a dumbass to say 'yes', but I'm not surprised.
